Sorry if this is in the thread already, but here's the one I'm looking for: Arcade game from late 80's, early 90's, isometric view, multi-player co-op (4 players, I think), I don't recall that there was any clear "goal" other than to hack/slash. There were what seemed like many "boards" that you got to by walking through portals; you could "pick up" different weapons or a weapon from a co-op player that dropped it if they died (I remember one was a whip, I think there was a gun, can't remember others). It's not Arcus Odyssey. Any ideas?
sounds like

Dark Adventure (aka Devil World) (1987)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbzwaYyUFww

That was it! Thank you so much! By the way, that's really impressive, you have a gift.

Hi!

When I was a kid I liked to play a racing game, but now I don't remember the title :( Can You help me?

1. It was released between 1993-1998
2. It was a street racing game (with traffic), there were no tracks
3. There was a cockpit view (80% sure)
4. Non-licensed cars (60% sure)

Ok, now you will say- it was Need for Speed / Test Drive, stupid!

No, it wasn't.

5. It looked like NFS 1-2 (pixelized like hell)
6. You needed to repair your car after the race, I remember that couple of times i didn't finish the race because I didn't change tires.
7. Many tracks was in USA (I remember florida or maybe california)

Can you help me find a title, please? :(

@edit:

It was a PC game!

Hey guys, I found this topic at Google, so I am kind of new here.
I am looking for a friend an old 2D good pixelated game of more than 10 years ago.
He told me the following details of the game thad he played 10 years ago:

- The main character was kind of a red weasel or fox like Sonic with a yellow belly.
- It was a 2D good pixelated! side scrolling PC cd game.
- It had a kind of blue sky background.
- There were colorful levels.
- There were kind of (exploding) barrels where you could jump in and at the right timing jumping out again or something.
- It was around the time of 2000.

He loved this game and would like to find it again. I hope there's someone that knows this game descriptions. Thank you in advance.
It's not a Crash Bandicoot game, is it? (Can't recall offhand if that franchise had any 2D games...)
No unfortunately not which came first in my mind. But he says it was not Crash Bandicoot.

He remembers now that the maincharacter was definitely a 'fox'.
And he's absolutely positive it wasn't anywhere in the Sonic franchise? Didn't Tails have his own game at some point? (I may be thinking of a fan game, or perhaps a Japan-only game.)

(Edit: Yep, here's Tails' game - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tails_Adventure That isn't it, is it? Still worth a look at though.)

(Edit 2: This is too early and not a fox, but the bright colors make me think of Skunny: Save Our Pizzas ( http://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Skunny:_Save_Our_Pizzas.html ). Alternatively, this one has much darker colors, but is from a bit later time period - Titus the Fox: To Marrakech and Back ( https://www.mobygames.com/game/titus-the-fox-to-marrakech-and-back ) Maybe one of those?)
He says it was definitely not from the Sonic franchise or Tails Adventure. I told him about the other games from your links, ,but neither of them was the game that he played. He says it was good designed/drawn, but still 2D and side scrolling. Is there any hope for him? I want to help him so much,
Huh. Officially stumped, but I'm gonna keep looking. Sorry I couldn't be more help, mate.

Doesn't seem like it's it... Though i thank you for trying! But I have another request.

I remember there was an FPS MMO game on Steam. I think it was set in the tropics? You could customize your guns and I remember 1 person having a Golden Rifle of some sorts. One of the levels was like a film set, and another one was like on one of those beaches with those bridges and shacks on them, like Dead Island had, also I believe there was like a destroyed town, seemed like it was in africa or something similar? Also I remember it being like a "Game" as in, it was a Game inside a Game, or atleast it presented itself like that, or so I remember... I don't think it's on Steam anymore, because I can't find it in my game list or on the list of games I played on the Steam Calculator. Also it was a free game, obviously xD

I remember playing that game a year or 2 ago.
It doesn't completely match up, but the first thing that popped for me was Bloody Good Time.

OK so I've been searching for days and days about this old 90's PC game I used to play. I don't rememeber much of it but it's like a factory or a shop with machine for little monster or chickens not sure lol so people would come knocking on the door, sometimes it's a giant and sometimes it's something else and they'd be like "I would like red hair and orange shoes" something to that effect, anyway, they would ask for a a specific little monster/chicken and you would have to dress them up and make them. in the factory you had lots of options like hats with polka dots or stipes, shoes, I think there was scarves too.

I know my description is bad but that's all I can remmember to be honest.
that's the Fripple Shop episode from

Thinkin' Things Collection 1 (1993)

OMG yes!!! Thank you so much !! I can die in peace now lol.

Wow okay, hi. This is gonna be really tough may I warn you because I played this game when I was like 5 and I'm 16 now. Memory isn't my stronghold but anyway this has been bugging me for a while now. I remember this really quirky game (possibly on PS2 or PS1) where you played as a little red headed, funky girl I think. The strongest memory I have of this game is that whenever you died you would go to some underworld-type place and there you would see all of these other dead people walking around and you would have to collect like a certain amount of things like bones or something if you wanted to regenerate back to your original place before you died. It was kinda like a kids game where it was slightly platformy and maybe slightly repetitive with the whole collecting a certain number of things and shizzle like that. I also remember a lot of colour and distincltly a witches house with ravens? I could have dreamed that bit maybe but this is all I can say about this game. It was just overall really quirky. PLEASE QUECH MY CURIOSITY!
Sooo, it doesn't match everything you said, but your description of the main character reminds me of:

Malice (2004)

Cool thing about this game, No Doubt did voices for it, notably Gwen Stefani who voices this funky red-haired girl.

Hi all, first of all, let me echo the sentiments expressed already about the awesomeness of this thread.

Now to my question:

I'm looking for this ms-dos adventure game that features a secret agent (police? FBI?) that must infiltrate the headquarters of a cult in order to apprehend its leader. Basically, the agent had to talk to people and interact with objects, which led to colored keys, which unlocked rooms/sectors, etc. If I remember correctly, the game was created by a private individual (not a major company) and was featured on his page along with another similar game. I think the last time I was able to locate it was 7-8 years ago. Any help with the name or any other info about the game would be greatly appreciated!!
Fair warning, this is a long shot:

Okay. I've been searching for years. I was really young and thus I never got far in this game. All I know is that you start on an airship or a huge flying station. You run around in some halls and arrive in a big room. Then there is a fight or something and the plane crashes. You wake up at a beach and start to walk in a forest. And that's all I can remember. You played in a kind of bird's-view perspective. Maybe someone could help me. I've been trying to figure this one out for ages.
Someone?

Hi guys :) I'm trying real hard but I can't remember the name of a pc game I used to play a looong time ago. It had very appreciable 3D graphics and was NOT pixelated or stuff like that, and you could move the camera in every direction to explore the territory without moving troops. It looks like CITADELS but the graphics quality is lower. I didn't go far with it so I'm going to describe the very first part :) I remember it was settled in the Middle Ages and my character (NOT customizable) was on horseback. I could select a specific warrior or a group of them and send them with the mouse to a specific location. There were different types of warriors (horsemen, mercenaries, archers,....) and each type was effective agaist some other type and vulnerable to others. It started with the main character at the lead of a small group of soldiers (I think the colour of my "army" was light blue but I'm not sure), just exploring a peaceful place, with a walled town and farmers and other villagers outside of it (maybe only 4 or 5 barbarians but they were easy to kill). At a certain point a big army comes and, after a short speech (if I remember correctly), it attacks and wrecks the town using soldiers and also war machines such as catapults. It is impossible for my character to fight them so he has to escape with a ship. I'm now in a new land and I have a limited amount of resources (I think wood, food and gold but I don't remember) and I need farmers to gain food and other types of villagers, and of course soldiers. The first enemies I encounter are barbarians, they are not organized as an army, they simply fight. I remember I colud burn their "houses". But when you go further into this new land with only a few soldiers, which is a huge mistake but I was stupid and I'm still stupid, you can run into different monsters (and I think you could sometimes see them being summoned by I don't remember who). They are not part of an army and attack whoever they want (if I remember corectly). The last thing I recall is that a big army whoose "colour" was yellow (I think) appeares in this area and at that point I usually tried to escape but my soldiers were weak bacause I didn't have enough food so I ended up dying miserably. Of course theese last tragic encounters depended on the fact that I was not good at this game, and some of you might have had a different experience :)

PLEASE HELP ME !!!! Thanks in advance to whoever tries :)

And I'm sorry for my english mistakes, please forgive them :)

I kinda wish people would not only describe the gameplay but also how the game looks, is it 2D or 3D, can you control the camera or is it static, SD or HD, maybe a graphical comparison to a game you do know, does the screen change when you fight?

Oh well I do have one myself, I never played it and only ever read about it in a german gaming magazine I don't have anymore.
It was a Resident Evil type game for either PS1 (most likely) or Dreamcast with static camera.
The characters on the screenshots where anime like characters, I remember that at least one playable character was a woman with either brown or black short hair, a bit like an anime Jill Valentine really iirc, not sure if there were other playable characters.
I guess it's comparable to Hard Edge (T.R.A.G. in the US) but I'm not 100% sure if the backgrounds were pre rendered or polygons, it's was also not as colorful and and the body proportions of the characters where more realistic. I'd say the overall tone was more serious than T.R.A.G.
I can't even say if it was ever localized, I think the screens showed the japanese version, but I'm not opposed to import it if reasonable and necessary.

Mitsuki from Chaos Break always reminded me of Jill with that hat of hers. Little to go on though, it could be a number of things.

Holy shit that is actually it. I now clearly remember a screenshot of the menu with her anime portrait, thanks Sheria :D
There is even an uncensored PAL version, I need to hunt it down ASAP.

Hi all,

Brand new here so forgive any faux pas but I saw this thread and there is one game I have been trying to figure out for ages. The information I have is pretty weak to be honest because I remember watching my older brother play this game when I was pretty young but here goes nothing!

It was a PC fantasy graphical text adventure game similar in style to King's Quest (but I am fairly sure it wasn't any of the kings quest games). It would have been from the late 80s or early 90s. I recall you played sort of a rogue or thief like character, if I recall he was mainly dressed in blue. There were day and night cycles and I recall you could "break into" places at night and steal stuff. I don't remember much about the story to be honest. I do remember there also being a haunted/magic forest near the town as well that had fairies and such in it.

I know that is super vague and forgive me if it is a fruitless endeavor but it sure would be fun to find that old game again.

Thanks for trying!
