I have absolutely no idea whether this one was answered, but I had this game a very long time ago back when I was probably 8 or 9, I believe it was for the PS1 or PS2 and it was a brightly colored game either anime styled or cartoony and involved you as a certain character running around collecting orbs via a pretty linear level (I dont remember if it was platforming or not but it was extremely linear) or drops from enemies as a human sized character and after collecting a certain number and filling a bar youd transform or get in a giant mech. It would usually go into a big fight between two mecha both behaving like humans would breathing and acting hurt after each attack. I can remember one boss very vividly he looked almost exactly like the pc except fully colored black and red, the screen turned red when he looked at you to attack you as each side went into 1st person mode when you were planning to attack. It wasnt a third person brawler for the fights more so it was like Asuras wrath with the QTE and cutscenes but still being involved with little minigames. The mechs seem to be designed similarly to gundam but I havent seen it in any of the gundam games Ive seen so I hope someone can point me to the game.
