Greetings, everyone.
So, there are two games I used to play back in the day, like in the early 2000's, when I was barely 4 years old and the games were very retro and platformer-like. I've had all of them as my very first game set.
1) the first one was, as far as I remember, about a badass looking dude who looks similar to the guy from Hatred, but pixelated, with a pair of sunglasses and a semi automatic shotgun ( at first) which had to encounter green, red ( I doubt if they were also red, maybe purple) or black monsters. That black particular monster had a whip which you had to take out using a grenade which you could also use for destroying walls to create paths you could walk on during the gameplay. The background was filled with - human - corpses or skeletons or mauled people. There was a moment when you could find an automatic shotgun ( I believe ) and made things easier for you to kill enemies. The dodge mechanic of the game was when you could be near the background wall so the monsters couldn't attack you. Pretty obvious to say the game was pretty gory, especially when I was that young, but I'd lie if I didn't enjoy my time with that game!
2) this one was very fun to play, especially when Tom and Jerry from the same titled cartoon appeared to be the main characters ( or so to speak, since I could only play as Jerry from the first levels). This one was very complicated: you had to make your way to the next levels while collecting cheese and going through different passages. I remember this one level where you had to use a balloon while being in the sewers or something similar to it and make it over the pipes.
3) this last game involved The Jungle Book, and was pretty epic. The levels were so fun to play, yet the bosses were pretty challenging, and the platforms themselves could sometimes frustrate the player, but in a good way. I only remember some levels of them: one when you were at a jungle and had to fight people with masks, and the boss had one big mask divided into three smaller ones; the second one was on a ruin and some of the steps were abrupt or nearly broken; the last one you had to fight the final boss, where you had to jump through rings of fire or so.
Again, most of these are just memories I could randomly remember once in a while, and they always bring nostalgic thoughts. If you do recall the names of them, please do share them with the forum, and I would, for the very least, happy to see them once again. Thank you!
