Whats are your favourite old school games?
I won't say what is old school or not because it really depends on your age, but for me its PlayStation original or older.

My favourite old school games are:
1). Tetris (on The Game Boy original which I still have and play).
2). Metal Gear Solid (on the Playstation which I still have and play).
3). Deus Ex (on P.C which I still have and play).

Edit: Nearly forgot 'Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening', its number 3, 'Deus Ex' gets bumped to number 4 (thanks to Gigaguy64 for reminding me of this game).

Contra, the first Gabriel Knight, M.U.L.E. and Archon. This Christmas my brother and I spent most of the afternoon on the Atari 800 we've had since we were kids playing Archon at 10 bucks a game. I lost 40 dollars, but it was really great.

Civ 4
simcity 4
Morrowind.

Morrowind is chief amongst them because seriously, I fucking love that game.

And yes, the gratuitous swearing was necessary to elucidate my point.

How young are you that a game that came out in 2005 and was supported with expansions up to 2008 is "old school".

How attention seeking are you that you get off on pointing out the small flaws in my original statement?

Check the OP, it says there's no clear definition of "old school" for the point of this thread. I'm talking about games that I have bought that weren't immediately released. I'm so terribly sorry that I don't conform to your own, perfect image in this thread, oh great and powerful Nwabudike Morgan.

It wasn't meant as an insult, sorry you took it as one. No need to get all defensive.

Much obliged, I'm sick of the adult gamer lording over people like me their knowledge of atari and sega, relative to me these games are old school, no matter what they had themselves.

Yeah, this is an opinion thing not a factual one, so someone making a point like that guy did just isn't contributing to the thread, it only takes it down a bad road.
