Australian twang? He's retained his british accent, there's no hint of an Australian accent in his voice.

And I never noticed a difference. Nor was I was aware of the nutty conspiracy theories going around. People sure can be weird.

It's like how we in Oz we can't tell the difference between an American and Canadian accent, but they can. Trust me, it's there.
