I'm far more sarcastic in real life, I'm not really sarcastic on the internet because we all know THAT turns out well.
I thought sarcasm on the internet didn't turn out well.

I act pretty much the same as if I were speaking to someone in person. I do not view the internet as a place to be an asshat, and people are still people, even if you're speaking to them though avatars. Besides, being nice to people online usually generates better conversation.

now i think of it, I act just as i would offline when im online. maybe ill joke around a bit more and be more voicetous (sp?)
I believe you were looking for 'vocal'.

Anyway, i'm relatively quiet when gaming online (I hardly ever use a mic, and when i do it's just to talk with friends. In life, I tend to mouth off whenever the chance presents itself.

And on The Escapist, I tend to think about things more while typing them out.

I openly make fun of people and use the word "fag" a lot in online games.

Things I'd never do in real life.

I'm pretty much the same. Really. I don't see why one should change their attitudes across different parts of the Internet.

Hmm...Well, I have two general attitudes in real life. When I'm with people I don't know, I tend to use much more refined language, attempt to show that I have a respectable IQ and try and be as polite as possible (barring unusual circumstances where politeness would be inappropriate or uncomfrotable). When I'm with friends, I tend to be significantly more laid back (and, curiously, significantly less wity. I don't consider myself to be a particularly fast thinker, but I always seem to do better in that regard when I'm not with friends and family).

The internet doesn't change that very much, save that the vast majority of those I interact with are strangers. As such, the more formal aspects of my personality come to the fore. If I'm comfortable with someone I know on the internet, that will generally soften a bit. That said, since I tend to stutter and such when I get excited and speak too fast (this happens frequently), speaking intelligently is substantially easier online (without even bringing into the equation the fact that I can stop and think about what I'm saying/typing).

Well, imagine what you see currently but more flamboyant, more hand gestures, less black text, and more cold irony and sarcasm.

Oh, I also fake laugh all the time, really obviously. It makes me appear condescending to the troglodytes at my college and puts them off trying to make their pathetically testosterone filled jokes around me.

I'm a nervous wreck in real life. xP I'm a very good writer, but a terrible speaker, so people who get to know me through my internet persona are often disappointed when they meet me in real life (I don't meet random strangers, just acquaintances who I maybe don't go to school with) and find that I can't string a sentence together or voice my opinion. I think my online personality is much more articulate and it's more confident in its opinion, when it has one.

I act basically the same here, but I'm way quieter on live, because I don't want to be annoying.

Honestly, and dispite your paradox this is the truth, I'm exactley the same. I have no reason to act any different, I don't desire any more respect ar attention than I alread garner in life, I simply have no motivation to entertain multiple personas. Perhaps, as likely demonstrated by this post, I'm slightly more literate and articulate on the internet than I am "in real life". The only reason for this is understanding, if I spoke like I write, many would not understand me, and some would question my sanity.

I really have no clue.Guess I'm more relaxed on the internet, acting as I please and depending on my mood, where in real life I tend to be a bit more restrained...at least outside my home...

also I show my face in real life,on the net I hide my face behind a mask.

I'm thinking about showing my face (kinda)

:O Why would you want to do that?
Then we could make assumptions about your personality based on your appearance!
Could be fun actually. Not for you.
