Dumb *****, eating with your hands is fun. And who really has the time to wash up cutlery anyway?

Eating with your hands is the best. I don't even wash them first. It builds up your immune system (probably).

Why do so many Indians always want to study in England? Go to America - it's bigger and there is so much more stuff to do and see. England is a small island with a shit economy, a huge population and a cold weather.

I would much rather go to the states!
Well perhaps its something to do with the fact we can tell the difference between a hindu, muslim and sikh and you don't get shot while watching a movie.

I don't know much about Oprah, being a Briton as I am - but I've certainly never heard anything good about her. From what I know, she seems to run some sort of cult?

So Oprah's never eaten with her hands? That's a laugh!

Anyway I eat probably 60% of my food with my hands, really the only things I don't eat with my hands are like soup, salad, eggs, rice, you know, things that aren't really solid.

It depends on the food, but I tend to eat most food with my hands.

Also this is the only Oprah-related thing I know of.

I freaking love that.

There are huge Indian communities here in the UK. Many family's take students in as well and a lot of Indians have relatives here. Maybe less of a culture shock that way. We have as much stuff to do and loads of stuff to see, the only thing we really lack are the impressive and super massive geological attractions like the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone park. Besides there are other advantages to the UK like the NHS, that alone is worth a bit of wind and rain.

Oprah...I...*Sigh*

I've never been a supporter of Oprah. She g\helped people and that was that. Good for her.

Build a school in Africa. Good job.

Bring a man to tears in front of his family and not at least apologize....I'm at a loss for words.

"When their older daughter told Oprah that she?d like to go to London to study further, Oprah also played her role as American ambassador to the hilt and said, ?No. Come to America, it?s a lovely country. It?s the best?."

Because there education is so good.

there's something funny about you bringing that up while butchering the English language. I'm not a grammar nazi and I mean no offense, but still.

>Oprah being a ***** to people in poverty.

>Me expecting the good people of the Escapist to finally come together to have an intelligent conversation.

>Majority of posts being "Lol, the fuck she tripping on? I can eat things like pizza and burgers with my hands!" even though she was talking about less solid foods.

>My head banging against my desk in shame and disappointment.

Oprah is just a dumb materialistic *****. The amount of stupid coming out of her is amazing. What's more amazing is how many people listen to every word she says like it's gospel.

Really, the only things I don't eat by hand, are things that are impractical to eat without utensils, like hot foods, or soup.

I live in Leicester.
We have the Golden Mile and the biggest Asian population in the United Kingdom so we have numerous students who come over to study. Heck, a lot of people just migrate here. Our Diwali is awesome and apparently bigger than some of the celebrations in India (and you get free food).

I am just saying if I was given the choice to study here or in the United States I would go to the United States. The weather is better, things are a lot cheaper and there are more things to do for young people. You can drink at 18 here sp most of the students just go into the Scream Pubs for £1 vodkas.

America is supposed to be the land of the free and yet people tend to come to this very expensive island. I just question why. That is all.

I just want the international community at large to know that even Americans hate Oprah at this point. She really comes across as foolish and misinformed on several levels.
