I'm kinda surprised how many people aren't frothing at the mouth with rage. MovieBob will be sad.

Also, I might go check this out with my friends over the summer. If all you want is a mindless action movie, well, I honestly think that Transformers gets that right. It's a guilty-pleasure kind of thing.

I think it looks ok. Anything's better than revenge of the fallen of course but I do like a good all is lost/last stand kind of a movie.

Oh christ. This might not be as big an insult to sentient life as Revenge of the Fallen was, but it doesn't look much better. All they need to do is throw in some robot genitals, add moronic blatant black stereotype-spewing alien robots, a couple of complete disconnects in continuity, and then some robot genitals for good measure. Maybe Optimus Prime could have a huge gleaming wang on his forehead this time around?

I think this looks awesome, I actually really liked the first movie and the 2nd one really wasn't that bad! I'm definitely going to see this in July ... my 1 problem is, Why is the series' catchphrase "OPTIMUS!!!" just being shouted by Sam, couldn't they use "More than meets the eye?"

Will they PLEASE just stop using that retard-faced LaBeouf and his love interests? He's annoying the hell out of me. I want massive robot battles in which people get blown up or trampled because they're weak and stupid.

I will so enjoy this movie just like the previous 2.
It are just silly popcorn movies. The leave your brain at the door and just let it happen.

By the way the space bridge looks great in the trailer.

Until the focus is no longer on humans and stupid one-liners, Micheal Bay will remain at the top of my "If you could off one person..." list.

It looks like some explosive fun. I'm not expecting much but I'll still go see it as it'll be yet an other entertaining summer blockbuster.

How did the second movie do well enough for a third? And why haven't anyone asked "Aren't there anyone who could make this movies that aren't Bay?"

Well, nice to see that Megan Fox got hotter...wait, new actress...huh...yeah, that works, I guess.

Seriously, though. Having only seen the first one, the films seem to have the same problem as the "Alien vs. Predator" movies. I don't care about the human drama, I paid to see killer aliens/killer robots/killer alien robots fight to the death...

The second film grossed more than the first, last I heard it was over $850 million worldwide. So while you get a lot of vitriol from actual fans of Transformers, from a business standpoint it was smashingly successful. Reminds me of a Yahtzee quote: 'Sometimes popular things are popular for a reason.' Michael Bay isn't going to write and direct an Oscar winning tour-de-force film, but in the genre of 'mindless summer action flicks' I doubt his resume can even be approached by another director.

I was able to enjoy the first two, and I'll be able to enjoy this one. Of course, I only expect to see giant robots and explosions. The story isn't what's drawing me in to see it.

That being said I look forward to seeing another director's take on the brand, one where hopefully humans are as powerless to fight the Decepticons as they were always shown to be in the source material.

because lot's of idiots on the teaters applauded the secound movie... despite lot of hate on internet, in theaters the movie generally got a positive response... look at spoony review of it in his vlogs he mentioned it how in the teaters where he have gone see it, the movie was applauded.

Again I'm seeing comments suggesting that the people who hate these movies do so only due to nostalgia, instead of the movies simply being shit. Weird.

Odd that all throughout the trailer we see gaint alien robots fucking up the scenery, but then at the end we're presented with the image of Shia holding a gun. Yeah, that doesn't make him look like an insignificant little booger by comparison at all.

The only good news, I guess, is that it could never be any worse than Revenge of the Fallen.

me it was more the dog fucking than the Nostalgia that made me hate the movies... and the plot being paper thin

I'll watch anything where Peter Cullen voices a robot, I don't care who the director is.

Not 'nuff 'splosions. May Bay, I am disappoint. I expect a 'splosion average every 1.351 seconds, and I got 4.587 per second! For shame!

I have never seen the first two Transformer movies, so I really can't comment on them. I've heard arguments on both sides with "Dude, it has 'splosions and more 'splosions and it's just really super fun!" and "It's a load of shit with Shia LePussy whining everywhere trying to get laid." so I really don't know what to expect when I do finally get around to seeing them on my Netflix.

I think Prime is pissed off because he knows the Transformers will get less screen time than Shia LeBouf AGAIN, even though they're the titular element of the movie.

I tell you what, you could fire Michael Bay and get a competent director for this and resurrect Hemmingway and Douglas Adams to make them work on the script, but LeBouf will have to be killed on-screen in a way that would make Jigsaw blush if he weren't dead before i start to care.

well...

no megan fox in sight..thank god!! does this mean the movie will focus on the Bots instead of Sam's love and sex life with an actress that is more suitable acting in porn?

and if this movie turns out to be as bad as the 2nd one then i sincerely hope this will be the last of the franchise.
Well, you see what happened to Fox's career after she dug into Michael Bay.

This new actress is only there as a Neutral Female [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NeutralFemale].

It may have some moments, but I for the life of me, can't figure out how it's going to explain everything that the Decepticons can do when the 2nd movie established them as pretty weak.

That's what you get when you make a Transformers movie that wants to appeal to as many moviegoers as possible; Dogs fucking, a stoned mother tackling a college student, John Turturro's junk in full frame, and a tiny robot dry humping Megan Fox's leg.

Damn you, nostalgia, for making me dislike this!
