Connor runs his hand over his face and leans back in his chair, "Well, so much for hiding from the general public, eh?" Connor stands and starts pacing around the room, he himself was still trying to make since of what had just happened. "Alright, I'll tell you guys what I can remember, but what is said here does not leave here, okay?" Everyone looks around the room and nod in turn, "Okay, I was working for an old magician, never knew his name but he paid me well so I never ask. He sent me and a few other people out regularly to collect rare ingredients and obscure texts, but he never thought anything of, most magicians we had worked with did the same. Well it turns this one had something else in mind then inventing some new spell. Me and an old friend Frank watched the whole thing unfold. The old man read a few words from a book he had me fetch, then poured a couple potions onto what looked like a pile of compost, then.........well, shit got real."
"The compost started glowing, then started sizzling, the steaming, it didn't take long for me and Frank to realize it was about to explode. When it did, it took the whole building with it, when I looked over at where the pile of crap had been I say this little multi-colored ball of....something. The ball started growing, then it grew legs, then arms, then a little head. The thing kept growing until it turned into that beast, and I'm sure you guys can fill in the rest from there. My friend Frank died in the explosion, they're was no trace of the old man though." Connor sits back in his chair and takes a deep breath to keep his nerves, "I don't know why this happened, who orchestrated it, but I'm damn sure I want the same answers as you people do, so I suggest he try to work some form of plan out while we wait for the mobs to clear."
