Next time that happens. AKA When Eclipse comes out if they start talking about it tell them its based off a book its following the book and the get the F over it.

I think the coversation that angered me the most was when my History teacher was asking what we were all reading in English and some girl said 1984. Now I thought 1984 was a great book and I understood it perfectly and I didn't even think it was possible that people could not understand it, but I was wrong when she gave a description. She said it was a stupid book where Russia took over the world and that she didn't understand it.

*facepalm*

Sorry I'm going to double post here.

Personally what infuriates me is what I like to call "Party Culture"

In Party Culture there are but a few objectives to a successful life.

1. Get Drunk
2. Get High
3. Bang as many of the opposite sex as possible (More Ego points the hotter they are)
4. Wear UFC and Tapout shirts.

My distaste for Party Culture stems form the Mindlessness and lack of room for more than a couple emotions.

Intellect or any form on soul searching is excess weight and gets in the way of dick wetting.

People are reduced to mere objects, and personal taste is a frivolous expense. You must be well versed in things shallow people like( not to say that unshallow people don't like this music as well).

The long and short of it? I despise that which turns people into mindless husks.

I am not suggesting that society is right in thinking that sex should be restricted to people older than 14, just that it does think that.
Then I have no qualm with you.

I'm not really on the level with my community, but the few people I knew who were sleeping with one another at fourteen, well, no-one really cared.

Mind you, I doubt anyone other than their peers would've known.
Just imagine if the local mothers club had found out.

While walking around, I've overheard a very little snippit of a conversation saying,"No, it's not racist because it's good!"

Gah, I absolutely hate people who think like that...

Edit: Dammit, I forgot my standard 'tell them what they threaten against' thing...

"You're an intolerant idealist who should take anger management classes."
Its Racist but its also funny. There is a difference between being racist and saying racist things. Do not think for a second that other races do not say racist things (not saying that you do). I have friends from many races, we all make fun of each others race to the other persons face. We are not racist.

In my opinion only weak minded people think in terms of absolutes.

I am done highjacking this thread now... sorry.
Well, duh. I'm commonly made fun of by my friends for being Jewish, which is a race, but I make fun of myself too. I'm just saying that, out of the blue, without any major context and only hearing that small snipit of the conversation, that person comes out as a complete idiot who knows nothing about how racism works. He may have been joking, but I guess I'll never know. That's the issue with overhearing conversations.
I can see where you could get angry. Things shouldn't be given a pass because they are "good"
It may be good.... but its still racist.

And I can also see how you might think this guy is a bigot. He doesn't seem to care if its racist or not, just as long as its funny.

Right. It's just that little bit of context that is missing that may or may not justify his comments.

Along the same line, and as I've mentioned already in this thread, I've heard people seriously say," I can't be racist because I'm black." Or something to that affect, and that infuriates me to no end.

It's like when some black people will say "I'm not racist; I'm black!"
I don't get that at all.
What's not to get? The guy thought that, because he was black, he couldn't be racist, because he thought that racism is only bad things based on black people.

Wonderful idiocy...
SCHOOL PUT ON THING:

Some lady came in and started spouting about racism and how WE MUST DO SOMETHING to stop it. This was put on by the group known as S.O.C.A. (Students of Color Association)

Irony of their group is they want EQUALITY but will only let white students in under the title WHITE Ally. My response to that is NO FUCK YOU. I am not an Ally unless you want to be a Black Ally, Yellow Ally, Green Alley WHATEVER.

Okay back to the lady and the reason I quoted you. Racism is defined as the MAJORITY putting the MINORITY down. So TECHNICALLY if you are anything but White in the US, Great Britain, Australia, France, Spain, any predominately white country only White people can be racist. THIS is what this lady decided to start YELLING at the PREDOMINATELY WHITE auditorium.

Oh and if its any consolation the Principal at the time is now the Superintendent of the smallest district in Massachusetts and got in trouble for handing Condoms out to <link=http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/06/provincetown_to.html>Elementary School Children.

'Hello.' "I just saw a mudcrab the other day." 'Nasty little buggers.' "Good-bye."

OT: Nothing specific, but a lot of generals. Basically that's anything about

A) Sex
B) Politics
C) Extreme Proselytizing
D) Gossip
E) Tabloid Journalism
F) Hate Speech not done in jest
G) How Awesome [the speaker is]

Maybe not to the point where I'd active punch someone in the face, but sometimes it's enough to annoy me. Reminds me why I don't like people in general.

Some guy at school in the lunch line talking about how he loitered people's property and broke people's mailboxes just to be a dick, he also talked about how he clotheslined people (when someone's running you stick your arm out and get them in the neck) the worst part is this asshole was pretty strong too, so he probably would've wrecked me in a fight. This world is hardly fair sometimes.

I was on a long bus ride and sat in front of two Twitards by the end of it I swore if I heard the name "Edward" of "Jacob" one more time I would murder someone.

At school a girl was texting another girl walked up to her and said in a disgusted voice "Are you playing a Nintendo DS?" she reassured here saying "No I'm just texting" and the other girl said "Oh 'cause for a moment I thought..." followed by a "Don't talk to me" face, so yeah the stupid as shit "g4m1n 1z 4 n33rdzz lulz" crowd.

I find it easier to not get mad and realize these people for idiots.

As Stephen Colbert would say...... I'm not racist because I don't see color.
(or something along those lines.)

That's an absolute lie. "History and memory"? "Identity"? Fucking "Belonging"?!

Damn English. Damn it to hell. I actually becomes less shit the more units you do.
We should stage a revolution! We still have 8 weeks!

OT: Can't think of anything specific, but as a general rule, people who try and sound smart by talking about things they don't understand make me fairly rage-filled.

Well, it's kind of related. But me and some friends catch the train to school in the mornings, one of the guys we catch it with is the kind of guy who doesn't care what anybody thinks of him.

So a lot of the time he swears loudly, talks about hot chicks he'd like to fuck and how he says it would be awesome if he "Sold/bought someone some sweet chuff"

So me and my friends all look away from the stares of the public while he yells loudly.

And people wonder why I don't like to hang out with people my age. I'm currently 15 and I simply CANNOT STAND the vast majority of my peers. Just listening to some of their conversations... I don't know whether to laugh or weep.
Nothing in particular that I can share, but it's all been pretty much mentioned. Drugs, sex, trying to be 'cool' or 'gansta', ect.
My friends and I usually amuse ourselves by blasting techno until we can't hear them and dancing, or talking very loudly about very disgusting or weird things. Either they go away, or we end up drawing more of our own crowd in. :D

People referring to me in the third person while I'm clearly in the room. That's just rude andI won't stand for it. Stop acting like I'm not even here!

Just today. I walk into my local music store to buy a double bass pedal.

I see this man. With his father. Both stereotypical nerds.

Acne. Overweight. Horn-rimmed glasses. Matching "Star Wars: in Concert" t-shirts.

As I pay no mind, I overhear the younger talking to a store attendant. This is what he says.

"Hi, I'm looking for a starter kit, but none of these are laid out like my Rock Band set."

GAAAAAH.

I hang out with some people like that too. What really annoys me is when people think that the rest of us are the same as that one obnoxious guy, just because we're the same age. It's so awkward being out with them. I mean, sure, be outspoken, just stop talking about sex and drugs in a public place while dressed in your school uniform.
