With all the Overwatch porn I have seen, I just assume they are all lesbian.

Before reading, went ahead and guessed who i thought were the 3 most likely contenders for this "honor", and i came to the correct conclusion: tracer. It just felt right. Dunno why one would think it was zarya, her being built like a bodybuilder is her thing and it would get somewhat ruined if she was also the token lesbian who happened to be the one butch female character.
It HAD to be either tracer or pharah x mercy.

I knew it'd be lesbians. Cute lesbians are still the "safe" gays to depict in media to keep the complaining to a minimum since they're more accepted than, say, Junkrat smooching on Genji.
^ And this is why the idea that it could have been a male character barely lasted a nano second before i dismissed it entirely. Everyone loves lesbians it seems. Ffs, my current queen in crusader kings 2 is a lustful lesbian and EVERYONE friggin loves her, i never had a monarch so beloved, she didn't even have a single vassal with negative opinion when she took power, everyone instantly liked her, that lesbian buff is OP.

The really funny thing?

Jonathan "full" Mcintosh and Briana Wu are bitching about tracer being a "attractive" lesbian... because male gaze... and reasons.

You cant make this shit up... aparantly gay characters arent allowed to be attractive. Homophobic much?

One can never please SJW. They will ALLWAYS find some way to ***** about things.

Its not the right gay character.. why is it a lesbian? Why not some of the guys? Why not have a trans woman/man in your lineup? Why not a space firefox from the forestplanet?

I kinda get their decision to make Tracer the LGBT character. She's the most recognizable character they have. She's on the box! It would stand to reason that she would be the choice candidate.

Tracer existing as a stable entity without her harness

Seriously that took a lot of hte impact of the character away.
She's stuck in between time and not, forced to be anchored to that damn temporal pacemaker and just boom, doesn't matter.
There aren't timbits of her adjusting to what her life would be like being forced to wear it, she can just take it off when she wants to because well it's easier.
Image trying to live with a harness around you at all times.
See i figured Winston originally came up with a large bulky unit which would be hard to friggin move but could shield her for a period in that area.
I'm belaboring the point, but this strikes me as blizzard being a shit bunch of writers. And they are generally, so why am i supprised

I'm pretty sick of some of the comments on the internet.
you haven't seen nothing yet boss, there are much sicker shit out there. And even the most depraved and insidious stuff on the internet is honestly is a lot better then real life in a lot of ways.
Especially those "hurr I have nothing against gay people but I hate how they push it down our throat" kind of comments.
Then allow me to summarize because while I'm empathetic to both i have far more agreement with those you take umbrage with.
before i go on i should say, i do not and have not in the rest of my argument indicated that tracer or overwatch has displayed these symptoms this is a general statement for the sake bridging the gape. In short, what you see people diagnosing as "being pushed down your throat" is an act of politics overtaking world building. Generally speaking the worst offenders are very clear, doubtless no one would argue that say captain planet was an unambiguous example of this sort of deal and a hamfisted one at that. It's far more glaring to things that ought to be largely apolitical, I suppose that's why i've heard people repine over a certain character in daredevil's soap-boxing. People pushing captain America to become homosexual, the gender swaps for well known characters and the injections of Islam into a couple characters. It's one of the major reasons i don't read comics.
case in point

One can caulk this up to bad writing, and it is but it's not uncommon for comics as of late.
one can also caulk this up to the termites dining long and hard, and it is, I wouldn't be surprised if comics didn't horseshoe into hating the jews because Israel exists which would be deeply concerning (I should stress I know people who do, I am not very fond of that line of thought no matter how one feels about Israel nor is this an endorsement or denouncement of the nation-state in question).
Point is people are afraid of this.
They see the cabal of usual suspects gassing on about X and they know X is going to be a rally point and they want to cut their teeth, or just push out the usual suspects.
And I can say i blame them
I hate people telling me i should think a certain way and acting like I'm a bad person if i don't and those are often in non-political spheres.
I'd slog someone for telling me the way i vote or believe the country should head is categorically wrong.

No one is pushing anything down your throat.
I've seen quite a number of articles on the subject myself floating around in the aether.
Like most post-modern era news it's ripped from someone else, says little and makes me install ad-block.
Strolling around the common people has always done better to enlighten me.
It's a few panes and that's it.
It starts that way Ayi, they're worried about giving a mouse a cookie. Call it aSlippery slope if you want, you wouldn't be wrong.
Also a gorillion of strawmen and Trump posting.
What?
also i am eternally glad that i took a leave of absence during the election cycle, my country devoted hours to explaining why trump is so evil and my uni flew fliers like stop trump
If it's so salt provoking that it slipped over the boarder i don't want to know the level of shit that happened in here.
I just hope the TPP falls through.

Though now Tracer, the face of the game, loves boobs as much as the players, and I think that's fantastic.
...in their defense, I think if they did Junkrat x Genji then they'd receive a lot of flak for not shipping Junkrat and Roadhog/Genji and his brother.

Shipping: It's Serious Business. Also incestual as hell on far too many occasions for me to be comfortable with. *shudder* the things I have seen...

Apparently so long as she's near it, it'll continue to keep her stable.
Not saying it's not a weak cop-out, but that's how it works, apparently.

Jesus fuck, how are people complaining about this? If Tracer had gone home to a husband and kissed by the fire, nobody would have batted an eye. But because she's with another women, it's immediately an agenda. For fucks sake, grow up. If you were talking to a woman in real life and she said something along the lines of "my girlfriend really liked the gift I bought her", would you tell her to stop shoving her agenda down your throat? This is pathetic. It's funny because you often see these same kinds of complainers bitching about safe spaces too when in reality, it seems they require the safest space of all.

I really don't buy that people are annoyed about this because they think it'll somehow impact the integrity of the story (it's OVERWATCH). If this comic actually bugged you because it showed that Tracer is a lesbian, I strongly suggest you rethink your priorities in life.

*Everyone talking about how lesbians are safe*

Yeah, right. Tell me, how many other AAA games have made the character who acts as the face of the their game openly gay? Because I can't think of a single one. Yeah, real safe move. That's why Samus Aran, Lara Croft, Chell, Alyx Vance, and all the other iconic women of gaming are all gay. Because it's such a safe move. And you're talking about how gay guys aren't depicted as much as gay women? Once again, people can only ever seem to bring this up to rain on someone else's parade. Outside of that situation, no one seems to actually care.

Blizzard doesn't have a gay character - people complain. They then toss a bone to the alphabet brigade - people complain it's not enough. I'm just wondering now if we can retroactively go after the person who complained about Tracer's ass as being homophobic? I mean, as we all know, any criticism of anyone or anything is hate speech unless they're a straight, white male.
Oh please. The people talking about how lesbians are safe in this thread aren't the people who were complaining about a lack of representation.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Fuck!

Man, did I lose that bet. I was pulling hard on that Zarya train, hoping against hope that I could finally get a hint of the swole-wife with her main bae Mei. But in the HIGHLY unlikely chance of that ever happening, it still looked pretty obvious she'd get the coming out nod.

But Tracer, I kinda saw that figured it'd be her, if for nothing else, she is the games mascot and the one of the most popular characters in the game. I like it, though. It helps that she's just a likeable character regardless of her sexuality.

That's common knowledge. It's never been about improving the world - its only ever been about controlling other people through guilt, self-imposed victim status, and whining to authority figures to destroy the people they don't like on their behalf.

The TPP was thrown into a fire the week of Trump winning the election.

Also, to fill you in on what you missed, all of the big news organizations have lost everyone's trust, everyone is fed up with the politicians in every nation that's part of the U.N., and expect see numerous huge electronic companies come crashing down (With people asking if Yahoo or Twitter will be the first to go). Honestly, it was the most brutal election the U.S. has ever experienced (And, expect to see even worse when the next one rolls around 4 years from now).

Don't be absurd.

Pharah doesn't need a building, just grab, jet pack up, and drop them. It's far more efficient.

How much of a Mary Sue is this character? I mean, she has a sycophant whose purpose is to tell her how right she is and how wrong everyone else is, her enemy(?) is one-dimentional and is spewing "censored stuff that author probably deems bad and it is bad because author says so" AND she is a disinterested REDHEAD with FACIAL TATOOS. I don't know about you, but to me it screams Mary Sue.

My main complaint is that Blizzard seemed to hype the idea, I mean, if Tracer had gone home to her wife/girlfriend and kissed by the fire, nobody would have batted an eye, but instead we needed an announcement promising that Blizzard would Out a character of theirs, turning it into a goddamn circus. It seems to me that the logical first step in equality between LGBT-and-whatever-else-letters would be treating it like nothing special, but instead were making it seem all important.
