By some recent estimates, console gaming is going to collapse on itself at some point during this "next generation" due to user and developer backlash towards larger production companies, media outlets and publishers. Do you think people throw around the term "Video game crash" just because it sounds cool?Terramax said:No matter how much you moan how superior PCs are to consoles, consoles are here to stay, so suck it up.
At this point in time, console gaming and PC gaming are largely one and the same, except PC gaming has more options to tailor to each specific user, better access to online play, better customer service, DLC support and of course widely available downloadable games of any size, not just 2D platformers or "artsy" (lazy) indie games.
The argument that consoles are cheaper is incredibly short-sighted as PC technological developments keep putting year-old machines down to half or a third of its original price, which gives you a PC with substantially better game performance than any console for the same price, PLUS all the benefits of having a personal computer.
