I just.....
Fuck..... Just read the damn article you guys.

Basically som parents in Salt Lake city rang the cops to tell them they thought their son took a sleeping pill instead of his diabetes medicine.
So as any good, sane cop would do, they ran him off the road and shot him to death.
He didn't speed. He didn't resist arrest. He had taken no alcohol. He wasnt driving erratically.
What. The. Fuck.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Nothing more to say, I hope his friends and family are coping as best they can.

If it is like the family member said I hope the police officers involved are prosecuted and not treated differently because of their profession.

Not sure how to embed, but this is very relevant.

I also love how the article makes the family's response seem so uncaring.

1) Is courthouse news service a reputable new source? Looks kind of low budget and fake.
2) Who call the cops to make sure their adult son may have forgotten his medicine?
3) Why didn't the cops just pull him over? It sounds like they immediately tried to run him off the road. That sounds fishy to me.
4) Then completely unprovoked the cops all open fire? Again sounds fishy.

"The dash cam videos reveal that Joey did not take any action, make any threats, or do anything to cause any immediate or [im]minent threat of harm to any of the officers. Joey was simply sitting in his vehicle."
"After the use of unreasonable excessive deadly force, Officer Jones was not terminated or reprimanded by Salt Lake City Corporation."

What the fucking what WHAT?! Nowhere in the entire article does it mention that they tried to pull him over or that he did anything wrong, but they slammed his car off the highway and shot him anyway? And the city government thinks that's fine? WHAT?! Termination is the absolute least they should do. This deranged ************ abused the hell out of his position as a cop and is clearly a danger to everybody. Get him off the damn streets!

Normally I'd ***** about the thread title being biased, but uh, yeah that's pretty much what happened. Hope to god the cop gets criminal charges brought against him.

Edit: or maybe not.

Law enforcement seems to have been taking their pointers from The Shining. Medicine indeed.. My thoughts go out to his family =/.

The whole police situation in America seems highly absurd; almost like a Western film.
A family acquaintance occasionally flies over to the States to drive around, and he was pulled over once. Now, in Europe it is customary [even polite] to exit your vehicle when this happens. So, this guy stopped and got out, only to have the cop almost pull a firearm on him.
Go figure.

Why does America give it's morons guns again?
Because if you actually do research into it like I did in my earlier post you will find out a lot more about it and that the Courthouse News Service is retarded and should not be read seriously.

Fire them. Now. There is quite literally no more to say. There is no other side to this argument. The sky is blue, Snooki is a retard, and those cops should be summarily and remorselessly fired.

Not sure how much truth there is to this story, but if it is true, then that is really terrible.

I have to say, these links make much more sense.

And the original site looks sketchy to me.

Hmm, from your article:

That's when Tucker attempted to hit an officer with his vehicle, according to police, prompting a Salt Lake officer to open fire.

The officer was placed on standard paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation by the Salt Lake District Attorney's Office.
Sounds like we don't have the full story.
Admin leave is standard practice after killing someone in most US law enforcement agencies. It doesn't really mean much.

So he was just sitting there in the vehicle with his hands on the steering wheel. When will they learn not to let cops fire on unarmed individuals?[/sarcasm]
