Yeah, don't care. Trying to enjoy my evening.Go ahead then. Prove me wrong. Go out there and do something to stamp out these horrible business practices. Something that actually works I'll add. I'll wait.

For someone that doesn't care, you sure make very emotionally charged posts showing that you do indeed care very much.Yeah, don't care. Trying to enjoy my evening.
Yeah, even when I call them out they don't even bother to try to so much as suggest a solution that obviously won't work much less a workable solution, not to mention actually do anything, they just complain on an internet forum. It's almost like they know deep down that I'm actually correct, but just doesn't want to admit it.For someone that doesn't care, you sure make very emotionally charged posts showing that you do indeed care very much.
And this is really what it's all about, isn't it? You need us to tell you just how right you are, to admit that you're just so much smarter than us. Elsewise, you'd just be like "whatever" and leave us to our convictions. I don't think you understand just how much we enjoy kicking sand in the face of this kind of mindset. It's almost like they know deep down that I'm actually correct, but just doesn't want to admit it.
So your response is nothing more than to satisfy your sensitive and pathetic ego? You're sad. It's almost like they know deep down that I'm actually correct, but just doesn't want to admit it.
The words "put up or shut up" are appropriate. If you genuinely think something can be done, then go DO it instead of sitting on an internet forum
No, you're just not willing to admit there is nothing to do, as evidenced by your utter unwillingness to provide a solution. It takes quite the ego to ignore what's right in front of your face.So your response is nothing more than to satisfy your sensitive and pathetic ego? You're sad.
There's no hypocrisy on my end, only on yours. I'm not the one here claiming that something can be done, you are, and you're not bothering to actually do anything. YOU are the one who actually has to do something here.Hypocrisy be your name. You have not done shit.
So your "solution" is to continue to do nothing whatsoever to actually do anything to kill P2W games. Can you at least act like you had any intention of doing something? That you cared to do anything? Here's an easy solution to kill P2W games: don't play them, and play better games. That's what I've been doing for years. It ain't that hard.
No, I'd much rather NOT be right, but the facts back me up. I'm just calling you out on the fact that you don't particularly care what the facts are and definitely don't intend to take any action whatsoever to kill P2W. It's easy to scream out that a problem needs to be solved, it's hard to actually go and solve it. You can kick sand in the face of the facts all you want to, it doesn't change that they are the facts. And this is really what it's all about, isn't it? So a hypocrite that gives up. Good to know. No, you're just not willing to admit there is nothing to do, as evidenced by your utter unwillingness to provide a solution. It takes quite the ego to ignore what's right in front of your face.
Once again, you haven't done shit, but complain and been given me defeatist statements. There's no hypocrisy on my end, only on yours. I'm not the one here claiming that something can be done, you are, and you're not bothering to actually do anything. YOU are the one who actually has to do something here.
No that's you talking. I've done plenty and what I always can. Read this:So your "solution" is to continue to do nothing whatsoever to actually do anything to kill P2W games. Can you at least act like you had any intention of doing something? That you cared to do anything?
You don't like it, not my problem. You can either keep whining or actually try and do something. Sterling and many others are doing their part, and have not given up. I do the same.I know there are kids and teens and young adults out there that don't know better, or think they know everything, but that's why we got to teach and guide them the best we can. I still give out advice that is useful and helpful. I've actually helped plenty of parents save money or not having their kid buy stuff on crap they don't need. I can't get every single person, but I'm not going to give up, cry in a corner, and wangst on about it. If they don't want to listen, then they'll have to learn the hard way. I've met plenty of those too. I met a teen to soon be adult, that got burnt hard by Anthem and AAA hype machine. That included some of his friends too. I showed him what are true games. I imparted this wisdom on him and he will pass it on to others. That's all you can do. Now enough of the depressing, bull crap, melodrama and man up. Do what you can or don't. I won't judge you for it.
I'm confused because my messages said you responded to me but I look at the post and I don't see a responseThe irony of that is that it actually sounds fairly true to the Battlestar Galactica canon. Not saying it was a fun experience, but the Cylons warping in, butt-fucking the humans and then legging it sounds like a lot of early season episodes.
I'm already fighting by not buying this at all.Why you should always keep fighting the good fight.

Exactly. Someone gets it.I'm already fighting by not buying this at all.
Because of my anti-mobile stance in generalExactly. Someone gets it.
The same, except my phone could probably run most of these games, but they're not worth wasting the memory on, nor the data.Because of my anti-mobile stance in general
The only games you would see me playing on my phone are Card games like Magic the Gathering Arena, Hearthstone, and Yu Gi Oh Dual Links
Sadly, my phone isn't good enough to run those games. They were made with Tablets in mind clearly.
I've made this exact point on several threads on this topic; you must have missed those.Simple answer is because we got old. That's it. They didn't have to win us over, all they had to do was continue putting their dogshit into game until the next generation of kids didn't know a world that wasn't driven by microtransactions. As us "real gamers" grew up, we got jobs, we lost the free time that let us play lots of video games. And meanwhile our fucking kids became obsessed with Shark Cards and V-bucks.
Then start looking at start playing games that don't have any of that. There's plenty in this indie game and AA game market. Once again, do what you can. Spread the word and teach them. It's all here to stay; all the best of us can hope for is that there continues to be at least some games with enough self-respect that they don't feel the need to resort to these slimy and greedy methods to merit their existence. Sadly, those are becoming more and more the exception
I don't think there's any "teaching" people not to engage in the AAA market. It simply won't happen. It's a romantic idea to think that's possible, but in a reality where your CoDs, Halos and Maddens are main draws, telling a 19-year-old to download and play indie titles to sate their gaming desires to stick it to "The Man" who's been exploiting them all their gaming life is a big, unreasonable ask. The best any individual can do is simply not engage on principle in the hopes enough others do the same that they actually make a dent in the practices of the big companies that arguably sustain the gaming market... which is again unreasonable. Then start looking at start playing games that don't have any of that. Yes there is, you just have to do so in subtle ways. And then there are times where you will have to be blunt and explicit. People are allowed to make their choice, but they can't say they "didn't have a choice". Considering how well the indie is doing, I'm not that worried. I tell the people I best I can. I give them proof. Whether they choose to accept it or not is up to them. But I will give them a heads up and say, "Hey, at least I tried to warn you or your friends and family". I've met plenty that learned the easy way and plenty of that learned the hard way. Sooner or later they'll know they screwed up at some point. Don't even get me started on the people who think that they don't need a physical copy of something and claim digital is the only way to go, or that's all they need. And once again I usually respond with, what happens if the server shut down, the game gets removed from the store(s), you lose the internet or you forgot to pay the bill. Or you're in that area was bad internet access. Majority of them can't respond with anything other than a blank stare, stuttering, or never thought it could happen (to them).I don't think there's any "teaching" people not to engage in the AAA market. People want to play games. Big companies make big games. Big companies exercise shady practices. People fall for shady practices, and some don't recognize shady practices for what they are because they don't know any better.
'Tis a noble endeavor indeed, but as long as the big titles that draw people in continue to use greedy practices AND be the big titles that draw people in, we'll always be the select few booing in a crowd of millions cheering. Maybe it's a defeatist attitude, but seeing as the things we rail against continue to propagate unfettered and supported throughout the industry, efforts like ours will continue to be Pyrrhic victories.Yes there is, you just have to do so in subtle ways.
