People who always use the same tactic. I knew this one guy in Crysis MP who always bought the VTOL as soon as he could and then went spawncamping. I mean, you could try something new now and then.
Cheaters.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot = people who are willing to sacrifice balance for realism.
Cheaters.

Sniper rifles are high caliber long distance rifles. You dont get longer distance by using weaker bullets. I'm not going to get into a physics lesson with you but headshots aren't what snipers are about. They're about killing people in one shot, usually through shock, blood loss or both, using a high caliber round that can maintain its kinetic energy across several miles. Heck, most battle-rifles were designed to kill in one or two good hits.Zeh Don post=9.73864.813120 said:This isn't what sniping is about. Sniper rifles should do less damage than a normal weapon, and provide only one hit kills with the good old headshot because thats what sniping is all about.
That said, I cant stand when a game takes leaps and bounds out of realism for the sake of game balance. The 5 round rocket launcher kills people to quickly? "Smart idea, lets nerf the rocket launcher! Lets make it terribly inaccurate and reduce it's damage." How about you leave the accuracy and damage alone, make it a one shot high explosive rocket propelled grenade that takes forever to reload instead, like, oh I dont know, A REAL ONE.
50 caliber rifles, while not inteaded for use on people, should not take 2 hits to kill someone in a video game. They are used to take out lightly armored vehicles, and material like explosives and computer servers hence the name Anti-Material Rifle. Their use in a video game primarily for shooting other people does break the mechanic a bit though. This actually reminds me of something else that bothers me with games too. Long range weapons typically get rediculously inaccurate when shoulder fired. Why are my bullets leaving the gun barrel at a 70 degree angle?! And really, how hard is it to avoid a bad sniper? Got a problem with the kind of snipers that stay in one spot and repeatedly give away their position every time they pull a trigger? Try not running into their bullet path. Try throwing a grenade. Try doing something other than running straight at him or ignoring the fact that he's around and headlonging it wherever you're trying to go and put some stealth to good use eh?
People dont bother me, poor game design does.
