I don't see why so many people are complaining, this is exactly the sort of thing PETA should be doing to promote their message. I thought that the reason everyone hated PETA was because of all the harmful things they did in the name of their cause, rather than the cause itself. Somehow I can't bring myself to feel that promoting veganism and decrying factory farming is inherently evil.
Their message is if you have a puppy that loves you and you love. Whom you take care of and feed. Pet and play with. Give it treats when it behaves, and punish in reasonable ways when it doesn't. A poor defenseless animal that couldn't take care of itself in the wild and whose company you enjoy and is ecstatic to see you come home.
You're a vile evil sinner who should be purged. That animal deserves better than what you give it!
If you take medicine which was developed via animal testing, like insulin. Or had a procedure like organ transplant. If these things saved your life.
You should have died. Your life is less valuable than the rats they experimented on.
That's PETA's message. So, yes. I fucking condemn that message.
I condemn the group that funds arsonists to firebomb testing faculties. I condemn people who would state that they don't "condemn or condone violence against animal rights violators, but they understand it." I condemn them with every fiber in my being.
PETA is not an animal rights group. It's a group of extremists. It's a hate group, in my book. Their supporters are the type who see no problem with threatening the lives of children simply because their parents hunt and support hunting.
Oh, yeah, PETA is against hunting. Let me inform you that deer hunting is needed to keep deer populations in check. If you think cars hitting deer is bad, now, just imagine what would happen if they weren't hunted. With no natural predators, the population would boom. And what deer weren't killed by cars or other such things would starve to death. Which I would say is far more cruel.
I am entirely against PETA's message. It lacks reason, common sense, or compassion. If they were simply Vegans, I could ignore them. But they aren't.

Dear PETA,
I am a farmer. I raise cattle. I kill the cattle. I knock them out, slice their necks, and let them bleed out all while they are asleep. I then cut their dead bodies up for food. This food sustains many families and is a corner stone in the diet of many human beings.
Come at me, brothers.
Love,
Ponyholder
God Bless you, Ponyholder. I love me some burgers, but I don't think I could bring myself to actually kill, clean, and cut up the cows. I'll happily cook it after that, though. So, you supply the meat, and I'll cook the food. Deal?
