Molyneux consistently mis-understands the success of his own games. Both what's good about them and why they are successful. His Bullfrog era games are probably his best but he's gotten away from them.
FABLE had a lot of appealing elements but in subsequent iterations he's expanded on the pointless/useless/uninteresting parts (npc romance, dogs, completionist checklists) and strayed from the path of what was good (motivating storyline, flexible gameplay, character customization, impish humor mixed with epic world-destroying combat, some semblance of good/evil).
His core audience always was PC users. He's totally shat all over them in the last 5 years by putting FABLE out on platforms and delaying or renegging on putting it out on PC.
Sorry Petey, but you used to be interesting and I enjoyed driving around in your car with you. Now you're all flashy new car and nothing interesting to say, so I don't care to go driving with you anymore.
