That's pretty sweet. The kid's learning how to use his family's influence for his own gain. He'd make a great politician.

Does anyone else think that Episode 3 is going to be the new Duke Nukam Forever?

HL2 is an example of near-perfect pacing. The vehicle sections miss the pacing mark by quite a while, but other then that it's spot-on.
Well, I was thinking about the water jet thingy part. (btw "near-perfect pacing" is an opinion of somebody's (in this case: yours), not a fact, as you seem to state it)
My main gripe being the linearity, hence problem with immersion.
I didn't realise we needed to put "in my opinion" iin Front of everything - and don't worry, I'll ignore the hypocrisy given how the post I quoted you on was written as fact.
Just to quote myself.. ahem.
"I don't get it"
"Maybe my feelings stem from the fact, that I didn't play it when it came out all those years ago."

If those highlighted words don't clarify personal opinion to you, then I can't blame ya.
Otherwise...

Anybody else think that the Half-Life series accidentally brushed up against the event horizon of the Duke Nukem Forever quantum singularity? As in, by the time the next installment (if it ever comes out) will be long after a lot of people have stopped caring?

As it is, it's probably just opinion, a lot of people loved them, you didn't, that's perfectly alright, and you have every right to even loathe its very existance, but try to keep consistent.
Your reply perplexes me.

Just to quote myself, again:

That was awesome!
Who wants to bet that some Valve employee gets their kid to do a reply?
Anyone? Anyone?
That was cute! What do you think the Valve employee's kid will say?
"Daddy is trying his hardest and stuff... There's a lot of beta testing and bugs to work out... or something... Um... Yup... Oh and testing video games is not as fun as it sounds, really..."

Uh, I don't get it.
Half Life 2 wasn't even that good.

A linear shooter with awkward pacing, tedious story and evident lack of style, especially in the level design.

It frequently reminded you it's a game, never giving you a chance to immerse in the world (after the starting sequence, that is)

Maybe my feelings stem from the fact, that I didn't play it when it came out all those years ago.
Time would have hazed my memories for sure.
Or maybe you just have a different taste.

This would be truly epic. I am loathe to use that word, but it just fits.

If my dad pulled a stunt like this, I would delete his storyline of Fable 4 from his computer.

If my dad was Molyneux off course...

but seriously, d'awwww anyone? Allready rebelling, at such a young age, showing the world you like Valve's game better than daddies?

Also, Peter: nice save;)

*Sigh*
They're baaaack.
Quick! Call a priest. We must exorcise them with the utmost haste!
The way you say that Maxer reminds me of Poltergeist.

Kidding aside, this is pretty adorable. Still, I feel that much of this child's eager anticipation for Half-Life 3 stems from his father and not just himself. Is Peter a closet Valve lover? Me thinks so. How cool is that?

And, how amazingly cool would it be if Valve had one of it's employee's children do a response video either explaining the state of Half-Life 3 to little Molyneux or regale us with his/her excitement for Fable III?

Heh this is kind of sweet actually. I wonder... If enough of us make a video saying we want them hurrying up... maybe we'll get half-life 3 by 2020!
