Anyone who just simply thinks Pewds yells into a mic clearly isn't giving the guy enough credit. I'm happy for the guy for his success, even if his videos don't appeal for me. I just hope that everyone understands that Felix and Pewdiepie are two very different people, and I think it's safe to say that Felix is an absolute marketing genius due to how insanely strong a brand he has built up over the last few years.

I detect a large amount of jealousy towards the fact that people claim "they can do that" but in reality can't. Felix has a personality of his own and he uses it VERY WELL. If he makes people smile (God forbid we have happiness in this world eh?) then good on him.
Personally I love the guy. His reactions are spot on, his remarks are really funny, and his adentures are always fun. He even reviews a lot of lower budget indie games and mods and has one of the best, down to earth, heartfelt connections to his fan. He adds an extra dimension and layer on top of "playing a videogame".

Here's an interesting watch if you're curious about some of the behind the scene stuff for part of why he's so successful. His videos and even location are perfect for leveraging YouTube's algorithm for how it promotes content. There's certainly talent at being able to deliver a product that people want, but there are some interesting details on top of that.
Well cool for him man. I already knew this all and stuff and got to say hes earned it. Hes been going at this for a while now and he is generally a cool dude. Don't really noticed much of the screaming thing everyone mentions though thats probably cause he doesn't play that many too scary games lately.

I am not a subscriber to his channel and I have never watched one of his vids, however, congratulations to him on his success in a saturated industry.

It was the Let's Play Curse. Sort of. Nothing like getting flipping off the helicopter, getting the vaults perfect, and shortening the run in every conceivable away only to suddenly accidentally on a simple jump and be left staring at where you wanted to go like an idiot before having to do the walk of shame to try again.
I wish I could be TheRPGMinx, who is constantly under the Let's Play Blessing. She had never played Erie before, and she beat it in one go (albeit screaming all the way). She had never beaten The Binding of Isaac before, but she beat it in her first session recording it, completely wrecking her plans of doing an extended series on it.
Also, I'm awful at solo live commentary. I'm too perfectionist. I have to do it all in post.
A guy makes money doing something he loves that you don't even have to watch? Oh perish the thought. We must eliminate this immediately and replace it and anything like it with so called "Intellectual" let's plays that do nothing but blandly explain the game.

Yeah he found his niche, jumped into the game at the right time, got lucky, Marketed himself perfectly and worked hard. That is how success tends to work. Good for him really he got his. He gets to be immortal in his own way in this world and never has to work another day in his life. He can do and be basically anything he wants at this point. The charity thing is something his accountant most likely told him to do. Don't get me wrong I'm sure he loves helping people but making that kind of money you will get destroyed in taxes if you don't give some of it away. He spun it into charity events and made himself even more loved, truly a great marketer.
