Interesting. So I'm assuming that Britain will be denying entry to all future immigrants and visitors who show sexist, homophobic, or anti-semitic views?

Also, all this does is help this guy out. Now he can claim his techniques are so effective that they were banned in some countries by man-hating ugly feminists, and people will believe it.
The guy actively encourages people to break the law and commit sexual assault. He teaches how to break the law and GET AWAY WITH IT!
Could you provide an example? I saw that mentioned numerous times in the article but I never saw them actually provide an example of him teaching people how to commit actual sexual assault.
Short speech from Blanc about how he ran around, jamming girl's faces into his dick in Japan. The video ends with video of him doing it to Japanese girls who are smiling, but quite obviously out of nervousness, as they try to resist his cock homing hand.

It's not much, but it's mostly because most videos of the stuff have been taking down. You'd be surprised at how many videos have been deleted from online news sources. Wonder why.

Legally speaking, that's not sexual assault. Creepy and fucked up and highly face-punchable? Definitely, but not technically sexual assault: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_assault

I think the guy is a grade A asshole and a country has the right to deny a Visa to anyone, I just think it needs to be careful of going down the road of "well we don't have evidence that you actually committed a crime, but we think what you're saying might lead to a crime, even though there isn't any evidence of that either, so you're not allowed in." Continuing on that path, they could theoretically deny entry to anyone who espoused homophobic views, even on religious grounds, under the basis that it 'encourages homophobic violence'.

Ok, cool. Guess I'm free to grab random women's hands and force them to touch my groin.

That information provided was incorrect. It is most definitely sexual assault by the medical definition.
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Sexual+Contact
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/sexual+assault
This should not be confused, and should be made very clear that any contact with sexual organs without consent even through clothing of victim or perpetrator is sexual assault. Taking any persons body parts and touching the groin IS sexual assault and should never be confused. There is no gray area, this is the medical definition used at hospitals to determine whether or not a sexual assault has taken place and is admissible in court. In the US THIS is very much illegal, and the Courts use the medical definition. Simply because not all nations prosecute all forms of sexual assault, does not make it suddenly not sexual assault because this medical definition is used globally.

Ironically enough the Escapist is currently running ads for The Girlfriend activation system:
I googled this and "my eyes, my eyes," so I don't know. Does the "Girlfriend Activation System" involve telling people that they can get away with groping women in certain parts of Japan because not only won't the women say anything, neither will the men or the police?

Because there's scum, and there's instructing people on how to get away with assault.
Not too sure on that, I spent about 20 seconds on the site trying to find what the hell it was saying before realizing that's exactly what they want, I saw something about women's DNA and how the owner has had 3 girlfriends who had lots of sex with him.

More likely just there to get malware on your PC, I'd rather not go back to find out.

That's because the guy is doing damage control and pulling all of his videos of him pulling the faces Japanese women into his crotch.

But there's still this.

For the record, he flat out says men should be cutting out women's thoughts before they can properly form them. Because sex.

And this.

"If you're a white male in Japan, you can do whatever you want" And "Just grab her."

Fuck. Him.

According to wikipedia, what's going on is sexual assault. I was sarcastically pointing out (And obviously failing) that his own source even labels this as a sexual assault (Specifically, non-consensual sexual contact).

Can't say as I blame you. The sites I saw looked anything but safe. And while I don't know that there's anything wrong, I wouldn't risk it. Still, unless I know they're doing something wrong, it's hard to put them against this douche.

The UK has hate speech laws, right? I'm pretty sure the equivalent here would actually be a crime, so I don't know if the slippery slope fallacy is the way to go on this one.

You know, I've supported the right of some pretty despicable groups to hate gays all they want, including the Westboro Baptist Church. But the equivalent here would be a guy encouraging people to go to a country where, "technically speaking," beating up or even killing gays wasn't a crime. I'm having trouble seeing why not allowing that guy in would be a negative outcome.

I think I would do it much smarter, take him to Sweden, get him drunk and make him show me how "it" is done on a Swedish police officer...

Is it wrong if I want to replace the officer with Swedish Chef from The Muppets?

Quick question.

How the fuck do you trick someone into having sex with you? Surely you just act charming then you ask. Does this guy get girls drunk then have sex with them? because thats not tricking them, thats just taking advantage of the drunk which isn't hard. But seriously how do you go about tricking someone into it? Promise wine gums and a free CD after your done? and then refuse to give them anything? Because if you promise to give someone something in return for sex (who's not a prostitute) they sort of deserve to be duped, man or woman they should be excersising more self control.

Girl: Wow Julien that sex was incredibly average!
Julien: I know baby
Girl: So where are my free wine gums and CD?
Julien: *leans in close* I tricked you... there are no wine gums or CD.

Sadly I don't think that would make my plan work, also I should get him drunk in Denmark and then taking him to Sweden, since alcohol is so expensive in Sweden... Or at least bring alcohol from Denmark.

Meh, the UK Customs and Immigration are within their sovereign rights to deny any passenger entry to their country. It can be petty, nonsensical, stupid or even downright outrageous but it is their right. Besides, it's probably easier than to refuse him entry than to let him come here and run the risk of a fiasco if someone tries to prosecute him under hate speech legislation.

It's really about pressuring more than tricking (although getting close to women on false pretenses can be a part of it), finding women who are less likely to press charges or feel like they shouldn't say no, and in his case, fleeing the country before the charges on sexual assault can be pressed.

In any case, he is NOT advocating 'being charming and asking'.

Also I imagine that this should be in R&P so I would not be surprised if this thread is moved soon.
I agree. My initial reaction was to say that no matter how big of an asshole he is, it doesn't warrant legal action, but apparently banning people from entering country's is actually not uncommon, so I see no reason he should be an exception.

But yes, I would also agree that he's overall insignificant, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this was some kind of PR stunt.

So yeah... I can safely say I feel no sympathy towards this man and think he doesn't deserve to even look at a woman let alone teach other men how to pick them up.
Christ; this guy is like a parody of misogyny itself. I mean, just how does one become such a cartoonishly huge douchebag? I think if he makes anymore cliche sexist remarks he'll cause some kind of quantum collapse.

I saw this guys name on twitter a while back talking about him being kicked off a boat by a crowd of angry women.
I proceeded to follow a link to his twitter and it immediately became clear to me why so many women were assembled to ruin his day.

After just a couple of those tweets I felt sick, not because of their content, but because he was being so BLATANT and BRAGGING about his disrespect of women. I kept on thinking about how I would feel if I was a woman, knowing that dickcheeses like him are allowed to go around completely ignoring societal rules just because they believe they can get away with it. When women talk about "male entitlement," this is the sort of thing they are trying to get other men to understand; the ingrained belief this man has that he can go over to a stranger and put his hands on her and invade her personal space because he believes that women's bodies are a PUBLIC COMMODITY that he and many other men can mess with.

And then some other men will defend what he did as "not technically sexual assault," even though the women themselves are CLEARLY NOT ENJOYING IT. We split hairs and argue about "legality," but if the woman in question freaked out and smacked him, some would say she "overreacted" even though all she did was exercise the most basic right which is to protect her personal space. There is a fucked up double standard when some will defend the creep for knowingly invading her space, but prosecute the woman for REACTING to the INVASION of that space.

Anyway. Why not ban him? He's shown he has little respect for him fellow human beings. I'm not gonna shed tears for his freedom to grope a bunch of United Kingdom women being restricted. Yeah, it's not legally sound, but this is a social loophole that he's exploiting. What kind of person see's this man's freedom as more important then a nation of women's safety?

So fuck him.

What the hell, UK?

This sets a pretty poor precedent, in that, with sufficient community support or write-ins, you can ban someone from a country. I mean, what did this guy even do to deserve-

I watched his video about dealing with Japanese girls. It wasn't only sexist, but also racist.

I'm a woman. I hate the idea of pick up artists. Stuff I read or watch from them makes me ill. They basically see half of the human race as wild animals to be hunted... if they are attractive enough of course. Then you are not worth a damn.

Buuut I don't think he should be banned from entering a country. Banning his events that people pay for? That's fine with me. When he still spreads his bullshit, organize protests. That's how free societies should deal with bullshit: Challenge bad ideas by debate and protest. Not censorship.
