Did you just refer to us as "Euros"?
"I'm Australian." "You put the queen on your money. You're British."

Pre-order our game and get in-game shit! We don't care about the integrity of our game in the slightest! DLC is one thing, but this ... I believe the phrase is, "sticks in my craw."

Lets be honest here, you won't be using any of the armour/weapons come mid-game onwards. Theresfore the Canteen is most likey the best item (whatever it does).

Store water probably, cuz on higher than normal difficulty hunger and thirst become factors in the game. Which I'm excited for personally. Fallout 3 went easy on that.
Yeah thats probably it, Canteen will easily be the best item, unless one of the guns never loses durability or something.

I always wonder why people use these bonus packs, I've probably got 5 of them for ME2 but they give you too much of an advantage. Well if people like that then that's cool I guess. I'd get it just to have I 'spose.

Yup yup! Or at the very least wait until someone makes a mod that allows the player to get all of these special types of armor. Sometimes... PC gaming is worth it. :)

Well thanks for nothing Bethesda...

I'm sorry, but this seriously enrages me.
I do not live in the US, nor do I plan to buy the PC version, basicly excluding me from all the 4 "packs".

I do realise that none of these items are essential to the game experience, but that is hardly the point.
I have been a fan, and a loyal customer for years, and being screwed over like this is a huge and painful slap in the face!

I'm sorry Bethesda, even though I love you, this insult forces me to rethink our relationship.

EDIT:
It seems I got angered prematurely, as the announcement of worldwide bonuses will be coming.

If you can afford it, then always. Pc gaming is always worth it.

Can't we just get one standard edition instead of all this useless pre-order crap?

Or how about they just release games with all the content there for everyone anyway.

It really annoys me all this. It used to be you could just buy a game, and there was the content, and that was it.
The reason behind this stuff is to encourage pre-orders to make the retailers happy. There's this thing called MDF (market development funds) which is basically retailer extortion - they charge the game publishers for position on the shelves, how much they'll carry, how much they'll promote the game, that sort of thing. Whenever you see games featured on endcaps or special displays in the store, or featured in their newsletters, or getting special web pages/promotions, it's usually because there was a pretty decent amount of money paid to that retailer to have it up there.

Additionally, pre-orders are used to determine how many copies of a game a retailer will order. The more copies that get ordered, the more that will get made, and the more likely that the developer will make some money. Doing multiple pre-order bonuses gets the developer out a little bit cheaper in the end, because they're giving the retailer something "exclusive" to advertise with. That's why they do them.

oooh the choices! the choices! I'm old school though. slap on that vault 13 suit and lets get going. I have the benefit of living in an actual city that has all those places(amazon can suck it) besides that, I like my local gamestop and the local gamestop likes me as well. so does the best buy too...hell any place that sells video games like me. I like to think it's because I'm awesome and not because I enjoy spending money on games and the like.

I understand the reasoning from a development point of view. It's just that from a consumers point of view I dont like it.

I'm the kind of person that would get, for example, the mercenary pack, but then wonder 'would I have preferred the classic pack though?'

I'd just be left feeling like I'm potentially missing out. Call me picky.
