Have you guys watched the newest episode of Game Dogs?

"We know. No one cares but you." You're damn right no one cares. About this show.

If you're going to be wrong, at least have the grace not to do it deliberately.

I enjoy the show, but that part was kinda dumb. They could just as easily said "gun" or "MP5".
But maybe the voices are recorded before its animated, and an M16 took up too much space on the screen.

I just dunno. Palmer and CaptainCrunch were saying something about it that doesn't really make sense.

But hey, one less video to watch on Thursdays.

Looks good, but is the barrel inside the handguard? I don't see a barrel, but that's my only gripe. I like it!

Another gun, this is a SMG based off of the 10mm SMG from Fallout 3, specifically a modded version, turning it into a two handed weapon and giving it a folding stock. Heres a picture of it.

and the site to find it, if you play FO3, and want it. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11179

and here is my gun.

I feel there is some more work to be done, but my goal was not to perfectly recreate it, just use it as inspiration.

As always, these are beautiful. I like the new watermark; very authentic. That AA gun is pretty sweet, too :)

The recreation is pretty solid, actually. You missed a few bits but I'm sure you know that.

Also, the original gun has "HK" on the magwell. Is H&K still around manufacturing guns after the apocalypse? It just seems weird.

Well, like most things after the apocalypse in Fallout, they are not being made, they just survived the over 200 years, just not in that good of shape.

Oh yeah I dig that, but what gun is this supposed to be, then? It doesn't look like anything H&K would make. Actually, it looks like it was built after the apocalypse but it used H&K parts.

Or something like that. I guess it doesn't really matter :/

Well, from what I can understand, the fallout world is not our own. After WWII, the timeline split, our side going with the micro chip, and the FO side going with fusion. So while we have computers that can fit into the palm of our hands, they have computers that function much like the early comuter of our time, with vacuum tubes. But on the flip side, because they went with nuclear technology, they have nuclear cars, laser weapons, powered personal armor, and the like. Also, for the most part, Fallout is suppose to capture the "Jet Age" from the 1950's and what the FO universe looked like before the war being what the people invisioned it being, so that is another difference from our world, while ours went through the 60's, 70's, 80's and so on, their stayed in the 50's era.

Of course, none of that had much to do with the weapons, but look at the assault rifle in FO3, its an american rifle, yet the design is based off of the G3. Most of the weapons are design to have a retro-futuristic appearence. Thats why most of the weapons have wooden stocks and handles, as oppose to plastic and synthetic material part, they hadnt developed technology in the same manner as we did. So to answer you remark of what the gun is suppose to look like, The H&K of our world is nothing like the H&K of their world. Hell, look at the Winchester City-Killer 12gauge. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Combat_Shotgun_(Fallout)

actually, I think that will be my next project...

to clarify on the H&K logo on the Fallout gun, the original texture for the gun doesn't have the logo on it. Like the original poster said, the picture he posted was of a modded texture, so it isn't really official canon that the gun was made by or out of H&K parts

Heres something for those of you who just so happen to use the Commando perk in MW2.

Now you can be a cheap ass from across the map.

Sorry... just played it on a friend 360... anyone ever wonder why when you know you hate something, you keep going back to it regardless?

You know, my brother really hates MW2, but he plays it anyway. I played too, until I found BC2 :D
Commando plus tactical knife is that much worse, though.

Alright kids, time for a new concept! This time around: diamond-tipped bullets. The idea is that if you tip your lead slugs with diamond, it will be a full-metal jacket on steroids.

Shown actual size in the magazine. The one above the rifle is enlarged to show texture.

I know it would be crazy expensive, but if you used synthetic industrial diamonds you could buy them in bulk. My design is a rough sketch, but what do you guys think? Is it practical? Is it safe? Is it helpful?

Let me know :)
