While you're right that diamond is too rigid to impart the same kinetic energy, the lead slug should still be able to flatten against the smashed diamond and create a big dent. But still the density is a problem, and I don't have a real remedy for it.

Oh well; back to the drawing board.

What you COULD do, is have a 'hollow' slug, full of a crystal prone to splintering instead of shattering. Soft point, so it hits the target, and the high-energy flattening of the round causes the crystal to splinter and be forced into the target's body. If the initial shot didn't kill them, the crystal splinters would sooner or later as they worked into the blood stream, or vital organs.

A splintering crystal... I don't know many like that, but I see what you're saying. Do you think a hollow point or a soft point would split open more effectively?

Hollowpoints I believe expand faster than soft points, but I COULD be mistaken.

Faster expansion would allow the slug to flatten easier, so that's what I'd try. I'd have to test it, though.

well, I cant see it, I'll try to fix it...
Your problem here is that your trying to post the BB code, which you cant do... instead you need to post the picture to a site like Photobucket and then copy the image code to your post in a spoiler tag, it should look something like this
[ spoiler ] your image code here [ /spoiler ].(without spaces) Look in the first post of this thread for further instructions.

2 new guns from my BR range. Got a standard assault rifle and the same variant in a bullpup LMG style....don't think it worked too well, might have to try a different body for an LMG altogether.

I have no experience in making LMGs, so I will probably scrap this in all honesty, just a tester really.

Essentially the same gun in assault rifle step. Probably looks a lot better than the other.

A little rusty from not being on PMG for a little while. Hence why some of my latest creations are a little....abstract ;)

I like the RIS hanguards on each. The H-1 is my favorite of the two.

Made a new gun. It's my first attempt at arctic camo. I call it the AK74 Arctic-Spetznaz. Quite tedious to make, but I think it looks fairly good. Do you guys think I did alright?

Oh, and the collapsible stock attachment thingy[sub][small]:)[/small][/sub] is loosely based on this pic's.

isn't the stock that you tried to emulate actually IN pmg? >.>
unless you purposely wanted it to be different

No, just the thing attaching the stock to the reciever. I used a couple of pics because the stock was a bit tricky.

Thanks :) I think it kind of reminds me of an SA80 a little bit :)

I think it looks pretty good. I know what you mean about attaching certain stock to the AK though. It's a right pain in the neck :p

Made a new shotty too.

Just a simple 12 guage made by messing around with a 98B receiver. Supposed to be mag fed, pump slides along the RIS lines. (I was too tired to edit it :p)

It looks pretty good, and I like your use of the torch holder to align the feed tube and the barrel. However your feed tube is scarcely big enough to hold 9mm rounds, and you may have to move the pump if you want the traditional backwards-pump movement (as opposed to forward-pump - like on the NS2000).
