I'd have to agree, most ther Pixar films have an adult aspect or theme to it but Cars was just lacking it, i know i know people could go on aobut self discover and aging generations all they want, but it had a damn toe truck as comedic relief.

Damn, what is with all the "Cars" hate? I loved it and I cant wait for the second one!

OT: They've never made a bad movie. I love them all in their own special way.

(I'm 25 btw. So your age argument is moot.)

1. Up
2. Toy Story Trilogy
3. Wall-E
-----------
4. Incredibles
5. Monsters Inc.
6. Finding Nemo
7. Ratatouille
-----------
8. Bugs Life
9. Cars

1-3 are classics to me and show what Pixar is capable of when fully on their game. 4-7 are great works that any studio would be proud of. 8-9 are simply just good, with Cars at the bottom.

Wall-E was easily their worst. It was the least enjoyable out of everything they've done. Even though Ratatouille was pretty forgettable.

Cars. It's the only legitimately bad movie. Monsters and Bugs life were nothing special, but cars is just... derivative at best. It's a "formula kid movie". It's not terrible, in the sense that it's "malfunctional", it's just bland... tasteless... Cars is to Pixar what a piece of glass is to a diamond.

You wouldn't know a good movie if it beat you into a coma.
I would because UP put me into a boredem coma.

Bug's Life. Bored to tears. ANTZ is a gajillion times better.

Finding Nemo ois grossly overrated, but not bad

Incredibles is the best one they've ever done. Followed closely by Wall-E.

I think I was in precisely the wrong age groups for Toy Story, neither old nor young enough

Cars. It had country music in it. I also really hate the part in every Pixar movie where the hero isolates himself from his companions, and then has to go have a big dramatic reunion near the end. It's a plot device that appears in damn near every Pixar movie and you'd think someone in the studio would come up with some sort of original development for the mid-end part of the movie. Like, for example, the hero and his companions could give up on whatever their quest/goal/the thing-that-will-inevitably-be-achieved-in-the-end, and go get really drunk then fight with the police. Then get locked up for a night in jail, where they realise their folly and get back on the right track. Or maybe they could find a time machine and get famous historical figures to help them pass a history project. That would be cool too. I don't care, as long as it's somewhat new.

Ditto. You did not just say that. UP might actually have been their best so far.

Cars, it's still good, just not as good as the rest.

I really disliked: A Bugs Life, Monsters inc., The Incredibles, and Cars. That's a lot more Pixar movies than I thought. :(
Why do you dislike Monsters Inc?
Maybe dislike was the wrong word; I just didn't enjoy it. Not sure why, it just felt flat to me.

All of their movies are awesome though, so this thread hardly says anything.

My first thought was Cars, but to be honest it was still better than A Bug's Life. While I still loved that movie, it was just weaker than the rest.

A lot of people agree on "Up."

Having not seen it (I bought it, loaned it to my mother, and might never get it back because she loves it so much), I definitely have to agree with you on Cars, since it didn't have much of the spirit of other Pixar movies. Cars seemed too formulaic. Toy Story, Nemo, the incredibles etc. all seemed to make the repeating themes seem fresh and charming. Cars was more like a Dreamworks ripoff of a Pixar film.

Cars is the only one i couldn't sit through beyond the first half hour or so- i dont think theres a single other pixar film i havent at least found fairly enjoyable...
The whole premise of the film seemed to be 'lets give cars faces and make 'em talk. Kids love that shit right?'

I hated Toy Story 2, enough so that I didn't bother to see 3. So to me that is the worst film by Pixar.
GO SEE 3!!
