I'm sure most of you have heard of the Playstation Move by now. Its basically just a Wii mote with a glowing ball on it.
I saw them using it at E3 and it looked freaking amazing. Its amazingly accurate and would allow them to port Wii games on to the PS3. What do you think of this, and what Wii games would you want ported?
Sorry about posting before I was finished, I meant to hit the preview button.

Yep.

Did you happen to hit enter accidentally, or is that all there is to it?

Edit: I've not seen much of it, but assuming it's as accurate as you say, I'd love to see some of the Red Steel games on the PS3.

Though, owning a Wii, I doubt I'd be buying it again.

What's so special about a Black Wii remote and nunchuk?
... oh, it's from Sony ...
- wait what?! :O

damn, how obvious is it that they just took that idea from the wii -_-'

Yup.
I hope the No More Heroes port won't requires that... thing.
I thought they decided not to port it, or did I hear wrong?

Red Steel would totally work on it. Hear is the E3 footage so you can see how accurate it really is.

Excellent.

Red Steel's controls were a long time sore spot for me, but seeing if the accuracy holds true, I'd love to see it ported.

Amazing accuracy? PERFECT! Maybe there's still no physical feedback, but at least it'll be precise - it's better than just copying Wii hardware, anyway.

If it's just going to copy Wii games what's the point?

Those 3D interface tech demos looked really cool. They should expand on that concept.

They have their own games in the works as well. I think they're working on a rail shooter that will be out on the same day as the playstation move. From what I saw of it it looked pretty cool.

It entirely depends on the quality of the games they make. I really hope that the PS3 library doesn't become as shovelware-tastic as the Wii's library is.

Cool, I just don't really feel the need to buy a ps3 eye, and one if not 2 move's so I can enjoy it. I guess for me it'll be the games that sell it. If they do some amazing RPG with sword + shield and bow + arrow with those controls seen in the tech demo, I might have to pick it up... although how you move without an analog stick on either Move (if using both with balls) you're kinda screwed. Stupid move by Sony there imo. Dpad's just aren't the same.

Hmmyeah I don't know. I'm sure it'll look great, but the minute I hear the word railshooter I kinda get a Wii deja-vu.

But I've seen presentations where they use two of those ping pong controlers to manipulate and sculpt virtual objects in real-time.
Now that is something that really peaks my interest and for wich I would definately buy a motion controler.

I'm sorry, but E3 footage means nothing. i remember seeing footage of the wii's motion sensor footage when word first got out, and thinking of how accurate it looked, then i finally got one on release day, just to find out how disappointing it really was.

I mean, Move looks just as much like a gimmick than the wii is, but we'll just have to see i guess.

The nunchuck thing has an analog stick on it. Its kinda hard to see on the picture I provided because there is a thumb on it but its there.

I know, it's just in the tech demo they showed that using two main controllers with the glowy ball you can control both arms of your character - like with the sword and shield. But if you do that, then you totally lose the ability to move.

I don't think I'll be caring about Move, for the simple fact that I like sitting on my duff and playing games. I don't want to, nor do I need to, get up and wave my arms around to play my PS3 games. Heck, even with the Wii, which it would make sense to so that, I don't . Most of the Wii games I play don't require that level of activity. Move, Natal, MotionPlus; I really can do without all those. Unless, of course, those become that standard, and than I've GOT to have them to play the games of the future. If that happens, I guess I'll have to adjust.

No.

No no no no no no no no NO. The gaming industry needs to stop this RIGHT NOW. Someone needs to take the rolled up newspaper of 'Bad Idea Banishing' +7 and smack it upside the head of all the idiots who thought that this was a good idea. Because it's not.

I had a Wii, and the motion controls were terrible! They worked, sure, and LoZ: Twilight Princess was a lot of fun, sure, but I just can't see how useful motion controls really are in gaming application. Unless it's full on VR...

Point being: I'm not excited Move, I'm not going to bother with Natal as long as my Wireless controller still works for my 360, and Wii? Been there, did that, got the teeshirt and cat-ears, and frankly, I'll stick with my joystick gaming.
