Likely because of how often I've moved around, I've acquired an amalgamation of American accents. My standard speaking voice as of now is the boring non-accent of the American midwest (with a slight Texan twinge), but I can pass for someone from most major regions of the continental US. However, I frequently impersonate my Irish friend when out at the shops (for the lolz), and he tells me I do a pretty good job, so here's a conversation I had a week ago with a Barista at starbucks:

Allo Oid loik a vannila steeamer, and a slice o(f) lemun cake, if yea woould.

Sure thing...

Tanks, ow much do I owe ya?

Uh... *amount*

Right, here y'are.

Are you visiting Seattle?

No, why?

Nothing... your drink will be on the right sir.

Much obloiged.

She was giving me such a weird look... heh. Seriously, if you can do an unusual (for wherever you live) accent well, try it while shopping. Makes a boring task a lot more interesting.

Odd, I never considered myself as having an accent, but if I listen close to it, or hear myself recorded I can kind of see it.

Accented: Aad, I never consider maself havin' an accent, but if ah listen close ta it, or hear maself recorded I cun kinda see it.

I'm originally from central europe and live in East Midlands so my accent is pretty much a mix of every english accent in existence combined with the distinct european inability to grasp the proper usage of stress on syllables.

(That's an extremely daft idea, it doesn't seem well thought out at all, and I can't comprehend how it could possibly work out.)

And finally, because, well, Slough;

Totally generic Midwest American Accent. Occasionally I take a shortcut when I'm lazy but for the most part it sounds exactly like a tpical American News Caster. Boring =|

when I used to live in Hawaii I was picking up the Hawaiian "accent". "You know da kine ya?"

re: "ya" think ontario canada but with ya instead of eh.

I fucking love you man.
I don't think this is gunna/going to work out. I will say either depending on who I'm with.
No I am not going to do as you say, now move or I will move you.

Southamptoner with a small amount of received pronunciation.

I live in the Canadian Maritimes but thankfully I've been able to avoid adopting the Maritime accent. It sounds something like an Irish accent, with the main difference being that an Irish accent is awesome. I don't know why but the way people talk here just drives me crazy.

Anyway, I'm not sure how I'd type my accent phonetically, but I guess it'd be pretty similar to the 'standard' American accent.

Slight Scouser here, though my true nature is only revealed when I'm angry (and thus swearing a lot). And I basically never pronounce my T's unless they are at the start of a word.
Other than that its a monotone drawl with slightly northern characteristics; nobody in England can tell where about I'm from, and Americans can't even tell I'm not an American; I'm an enigma!

I fucking love you man.
Ah fucckkkin' love you, man

It is likely this will not work out.
I' is likely this will not work ou'

One saying of your choice to show your accent in all its glory.
well its got to have a lot of swearing in:
Am fucckkkin skint an iss your fuckkin fault you piece-a cun'

My parents were always sticklers for pronunciation, so I pretty much say every word as it's written. I speak like a fast-talking, deeper-voiced Stephen Fry.

That said, apparently I'm completely incapable of saying "Hello there" without it sounding like I'm trying to seduce someone.
We must be siblings. My parents hated the idea of me developing an accent, so I enunciate everything.

It's... An abomination. Scandinavian with influences from Lancashire, I hear. I sound like I'm trying and failing to impressionate someone. It's a mess. And it's interesting considering I speak my own language quite well and carefully.

I fucking love you, man.

"Ay fhukyn louve ye, mahn."

It is likely this will not work out.

"E'h ys lykeleigh thees whell no' weerk eut."

Right that way, down two streets and to your left.

"Roigh' tha' wey, deuwn teu sdreets en teu ye left."

Incoherrent, slightly foreign blubbering, I'd say the Queen and her English would hate to see me.

I'm from New England. And not even the fun parts like Boston, where you get to omit r's from words in favor of h's. I've probably got the most boring accent in all of the US.

Phrase 1 said:
I fucking love you man.
I fucking love you man.[ul][li]Possible omission of "I", and the 'g' from "fucking". [/li][/ul]

Phrase 2 said:
It is likely this will not work out.
[ul]Possible variations include:
[li]It'z likely this will naugh work ou'.[/li]
[li]S'likely this won' work.[/li][/ul]

I feel the need to stress that there actually is a hard stop on all omitted 't's, so for instance, the word "omitted" would be said like "omidded".

Phrase 3 said:
I've got to go get some Vermont Fresh Maple Syrup, I should probably be looking out for deer or moose on the roads.
I've gadda go geh some Vermon' Fresh Maple Sirrup, I should probly be lookin ou' for deer or moose on the roads.
