Pokemon Black & White Changing More Than You Think

It looks totally epic so far! But I already agreed to White, so I'll get the forest rather than awesome techno, damn it! Although Zekrom looks far cooler than Reshiram.

But I have a theory now... it's kinda depressing, too...

I think this is the last Pokemon game. Ever.

Ever wonder why they made it for the average DS? The 3DS is much too hi-res to accomodate this series, just like the way that airships were taken out of Final Fantasy.

So put all your petty hates about the new pokemon aside, and salute this last offering for wat it will be - amazing.

Nah, Pokemans makes billions and billions of greenbacks for Nintendo. 'Guranteed' billions at that, this new one will easily sell over 10 million copies. You don't just stop something like that.

That, and Airships never left Final Fantasy.... there's even one in 13, even if you don't get to pilot it.


OT: I think this may be the Pokemon game to not make me physically tired during play... I honestly had to force myself to stay awake during a round of combat in SoulSilver...

an interesting sidenote: when gold and silver were being produced gamefreak were under the impression that it was going to be the last pokemon game and they went all out 9included the two continents) after nintendo saw how well it sold they decided to keep making games.

I personally dont think pokemon is ending anytime soon. gamefreak was one of the first companys confirmed to be playing around with the 3ds. that story was released months before we knew anything about the system. If anything I think its going to turn out that the new games have some sort of 3ds integration, possibly even 3d graphics, if its as simple to do as nintendo says.

EDIT: also that dream pokemon (pink thing with the purple stuff coming out of its mouth) allows your pokemon to dream that they are playing with other pokemon (possibly ones from other games you own) you will play minigames together online on some website and if the pokemon become friends then you will be able to attempt to capture the pokemon. that sounds pretty lame to me to be honest.

I don't think I could ever play another Pokemon game ever again, no matter how many silly new features they throw in. SoulSilver was it for me, the last harrah. I've said my goodbyes, let another generation play these games - its all too samey in the end.

One for SERIOUS BUSINESS Battle Frontier/Competitive play.

And one for restarting over and over for fun.

I'm waiting for Gray. Every generation I've played so far, I've gotten one version or the other, then when the 3rd game comes out, it's better (with the exception of Yellow). Also, by the time Black/White come out, I'll probably be working on the Elite 4 in HeartGold.

I'm going to go with Black first, due to the whole 'City' aspect. I don't need another 'boy wakes up in small town' plot. I want to see if they expand on the city for your character or something.

Well I'm still confused about which Legendary will be in which game... so I'm just going to get the one with the big black chicken thing.

I'm glad they're changing Pokemon... I mean, I've got five Pokemon games with me at the time and I've had many more over the years and they're all pretty much exactly the same. Not that it's a problem, because they found a formula that worked, but this sounds like it could use the basics of the formula and expand on it more than any other game. Of course the starter Pokemon are some of the worst I've seen (don't you dare mention my Piplup).

The black one is in White and the white on is in Black. Which means I'm getting White.

how was yellow not better than red and blue you got all three starters within the first 2-4 hours of the game. I wish they made every third release game like that.

New combat looks really nice in action. Pokemon and attack animations are super nice :3

Definitely getting White too. It has the black legendary (pparently) and more trees! I like more greenery in my games.

Unlike the other 3rd games, Yellow had a weaker story, less interesting characters (Jesse and James), and you had to have that stupid pikachu following you around all the time. By making it more in line with the show, they made the game more childish than Red/Blue. Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum each took that generation's story a bit farther.

Kudos for nintendo, by changing the formula and using 3D instead of just pixels, the pokemonfranchise may improve instead of going even further downhill.

I doubt it my guess is the toggle thing but maybe gray will have it maybe it's because of the dream smoke thing I don't have any idea why though

yes with the item dream smoke that is somehow linked to the pokemon musharna (the evolution of the pink beachball thing that I think is supposed to be some kind of tapir) that will allow you to upload your ave game onto the internet and play as them they even have their own rooms and you can catch pokemon there to
