i dont know anything about pokemon, but how is 'drought' overpowered? i read the thing and apparently it just makes the game sunny. WTF?
Sun boosts the power of fire moves, reduces the power of water moves, causes Solarbeam (an incredibly powerful grass move) to become instant cast (it normally takes a turn to charge), and any pokemon with the ability chlorophyll speeds up in the sun. In addition, drought induced sun doesn't dispel over time. Drought induced sun + a Pokemon that knows Solarbeam = Solarbeam spam.
And we can't forget that Leaf Guard prevents status afflictions when sunny.
Tyranitar can stop it though along with any other weather changer besides Sunny Day, so I wouldn't say it's "overpowered"
Ah, I knew I was forgetting something.. Thanks. I've never encountered that particular ability, that's probably why I didn't mention it. After a bit of research, though it looks like we both forgot a couple: Any Pokemon with "Dry Skin" loses HP every turn with Sun in effect and they take more damage from fire moves. Also, Flower Gift, which causes +1 to Attack and Special defense.
Anyway, this kind of thing is why I keep on my person at least 1 Pokemon with the ability "Air lock" or "Cloud 9".
