When a woman is in a "serious" relationship, they considers all the time, effort, and attention of the man to be her property. She resents anything he does that doesn't directly benefit her in some way because she feels like he is taking something that doesn't belong to him.

99% of women's complaints go something like this: You spend too much time doing activity X (where X is an activity that does not benefit her) or You don't do enough of activity Y (where Y is an activity that does benefit her).

Since women can't understand logic and reason you need to work on their level, pay attention, and figure out how to produce the proper emotional response.

Practice this phrase until you can say it in a way that appears to be 100% sincere. "I'm sorry you feel that way." Then the proper followup is "Lets work together to make it better." This works because women are averse to responsibility, and "work together" implies that she is required to contribute to the effort. Then talk about how to make things better, agree with everything she proposes, then forget the conversation happened and do whatever the hell you want anyway.

If a woman wants to stay with a man nothing he does will keep her away, if a woman wants to leave then nothing he can do will make her stay.

Haha my ex fiance claimed this was a big reason for her leaving me, despite the fact that I stopped playing practically all video games unles she wasn't home. It's funny how easily women will turn to something they don't understand or enjoy, such as video games, and use it as a basis to start drama. Thank God I have a girl now that plays them just as much... and is smokin hot at the same time. Very rare thing, indeed.
Not quite as far into my realationships as you are yet but I had this same thing happen to me as well as the "smoking hot" thing

Everyone plays games at my school. Sure, at varying levels, like there aren't many 'hardcore' gamers, very few in fact, but the girls seem to be used to it.

Women don't like you playing videogames because they want to spend time "doing things together".

Doing things together means, basically, watching Eastenders and Corrie, or maybe Hollyoaks, and being told to shut up because she's watching if you say anything.

See, you might have a problem there when the woman finds out that you're basically lying to her. I think they will resent being lied to, and will further resent whatever it was she complained about because of said lie(s). All of which will just cause more problems when they/you are around/doing said resented thing.

Your post was pretty bogus.

Ha, I don't have to worry about this since I am not in a relationship. Besides, having to choose between a girlfriend and video games the choice is easy. I pick Video Games.

If that survey is representative of the general population, there are currently more people being yelled at for playing games then there are people playing games. In other words: Fake statistic is fake.

I don't know about you guys, but I hide my gaming from most people. Only my closest friends and family know that I play games. If you play games while your girlfriend is over, you need to re-think your relationship. Unless she's a gamer too, then you're a lucky bastard.

However, I think this "study" is rather amusing, how many guys here think that girls spend too much time on their cell-phones and chasing the latest fashions? My ex spent about 90% of our time together on her cell-phone. And the worst part, she was the one who said I had no interest in her when I wanted to end the relationship. At least hardcore gamers usually have to be at home to play, cell-phones are far too portable.

I'm in the UK, and here mentioning that you play games to girls tends to make them lose interest fast.
That's pretty common everywhere.
The funniest thing is seeing guys actually post their hobby on their online dating profiles (mainstream sites, not the geek-oriented ones). Let me know how that works out, guy.

Does this study actually exist? I can find a couple of gaming/computer sites that quote this exact article, but can find neither hide nor hair of it on the myvouchersite itself.

I thought to myself... damn those MS fangirls.

edit: found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvX8GHJLQIU

Well, at least I'm South Korean. Practically everyone plays an online FPS or Star Craft or War Craft. I'm safe! Then again, I hate Blizzard so...

OT: Watch the Big Bang theory. Priceless. Anyway
