24 hour. Makes me feel like a badass when I say I'll see you at 0700. Like I'm going on a mission or some shit.
I use the 24 hour system. Everyone here does.

No one says "Oh-seven hundred". Or, like, "Twenty three hundred". 7 AM is just "seven". 7 PM is just "seven". 23:00 is eleven. 14:00 is two. That's how it goes.

But wait, maybe I'm missing the point. My god.

I should be the one saying 0700 and 2300 and stuff!
Welcome to the world of sounding like a badass.

I grew up with the 24-hour and it feels more natural to me, not to mention efficient. Plus it's handy for when my brain decides to take a vacation and I get confused on whether or not I heard the time right.

(Sometimes I get my languages mixed up. If you say "Half four" in English it's 16:30, but if you say it in Swedish - "halv fyra" - it's 15:30. And sometimes my brain translates needlessly between the two regardless of what language being spoken. I'm broken -_-;)

I used both. :p

But since I live in the US, I use the 12 hour.

When I was in the UK, I used the 24 hour. I prefer the 24 hour.

I grew up with digital time and everyone uses it here.

I wish they'd make the round clocks in digital time too but you can't have everything I suppose.

I grew up with the 12 hour (because I'm an American and somewhat overweight) but I'm trying to convert to 24. My consoles, for example, are all set to 24 hour time but my computer and digi-clocks don't want to do that for some reason.

I'm also trying to switch over to the Metric system but have made little progress there so far.

Hey Escapsists easy question just for my curiosity but what time format do you prefer?

Whenever possible I ALWAYS use 24hr time, for some reason I just like it better.
I have a hard time NOT doing 24 hour time. 80% of the time, there is no communication problem. But that 20% is worth it. Was that scheduled maintenance at 10 AM, or 10 PM? Much harder to remember than 22:00.

I prefer 24 hour, but when I am telling someone the time I use 12 hour. I am comfortable using both.

I use twelve hour simply because I've been conditioned to do so. Because of this, I always have to subtract twelve hours from a 24 hour clock because I lack the ability to associate 20:00 with 8:00pm.

Since I grew up with 12 hour I like it more since to understand the 24 hour I have to convert it. I'm trying to get use to it though.

I never knew that people who use 24 hour time still say "see you at 7(pm)" that just seems kind of silly to keep using 24 hours then. If they said see you at 19:00 it would make more sense, but then again people rarely make sense.

I can read both. I am quicker at reading 12hr but I prefer 24hr to remove ambiguity that may exist.

I can tell and with with both. Though, most people who use 24 hr I've met while living in America (where 12 hr is predominant), sound pretentious and like tools when they use it. Then again, I've found theres a big correlation between people that do that and those dicks who play CoD. Its rather obvious when you talk to some one and say you wake up at seven to go to school (if you're not in college). And even after that, you just have to add an am or pm after it.

Then again, I can also use the 24 hour cause I grew up with two (now retired) military members in my family and they always used 24 hour. Plus if i want to sound more badass and spy-like, I'll use 24 hr.

I always use 12 hr, and I have to convert 24 hr measurements into 12 hr for it to make sense. I just grew up with it I suppose.

I prefer 24-hour on time-telling devices, but in regular speech I usually shift to 12-hour, because the context usually takes care of any ambiguity that may be lurking around. I use 24-hour time in all written correspondence.
