So the intro song for Borderlands 2 has been announced to be Short Change Hero by The Heavy. Now that we have a song, we can compare it to the original. So I ask you, Escapists and Borderlands fans:

Or

I want to go with Short Change Hero. It feels like it fits the games story more. I do however find Aint No Rest For The Wicked catchy.

This makes the 2nd song by The Heavy I have ever heard, and the second one I don't like.

Going with B1 theme by default.

I'm a fan of Ain't No Rest For The Wicked.
The new one just doesn't feel as badass, or as loose as it should be.

Not a fan of either.

And Doomsday? WTF? I just listened to that--it's a cover of Michael Jackson. A hard rock cover of MJ. Wow... just wow. Never thought I'd hear the day. Not a fan of that, either. Well... if I got the right video. Heh. No idea.

Edit: okay, so Doomsday is the name of a trailer. Just got that. Despite visiting this site daily, I'm not up to date on video game news. However... I'm not a fan of dubstep, so... I stand by what I said.

Where's my "I dislike all of them" option?

Ain't No Rest For The Wicked easily. Short Change Hero doesn't feel borderlands-y at all.

I prefer Short Change Hero myself. Thanks, Batman!

That said, if they were going to go with a song by The Heavy then "How You Like Me Now" might have been more fitting in tone.

the old one fits a lot better, though that might have to do with the fact that i personally associates the 2 so closely.(the song and the game that is)

Well, I have to vote for Ain't no rest for the wicked. Short Change Hero is pretty good, I gotta admit it. But Ain't no rest for the wicked is much more catchier and have a better flow. I find Short Change just slightly too slow for my taste.

For Borderlands specifically, Ain't No Rest For The Wicked. Short Change Hero worked a lot better when it was in the trailer for Arkham City

Still love both of the songs though. Just Ain't No Rest For The Wicked works better for Borderlands.

Ain't No Rest For the Wicked sounds like a song that a space cowboy would sing, and that's really what the vault hunters are. Also, it just sounds better then the other one.

See Alien Ant Farm's cover of "Smooth Criminal" . Not bad.

Seems like a good fit for each game. First game''s about an entire planet filled with criminals that make life hell for everyone until a group of mercs accidentally murder most of them looking for treasure. Second game's about a group of mercs who are betrayed by an stereotypical evil corporation who rules with an iron fist, and subsequently becoming heroes while fighting against said corporation.

Also I like Ike Short Change Hero better for the simple fact that I know the song by heart but didn't even know the name of the song.

I dig the new song.
Had to look up if that was Cee Lo though.

What, choose?
No. :p

I like them both.

Aint no rest easily, it's the only reason I played borderlands, didn't really like the game to be honest.

It's funny the power a fitting song can have, the same thing happened with Battlefield 3, I knew I'd hate the game, but seeing the ad with the 99 problems song I couldn't help myself.

Definitely No Rest for the Wicked.

Short Change Hero sounds like a serious tonal shift. No Rest fit the light-hearted, romp with friends vibe the first game had. The second game looks like more of the same, so Short Change Hero seems out of place.
