Subbed, I simply can't stand most voice overs, besides there's sometimes miss-syncing and that kind of stuff.. I just prefer subs.

Subbed for me since I'm dutch anyway so dubbing doesn't happen in my native language. And I find english dubbed stuff often really painfull to listen to.

I can only deal with dubbed if it is done well. Dragonball Z is probably the best example of dubbing i've seen. Otherwise stick to subs.

for almost any anime I see I prefer the subbed one, but there are a few where the dubbed is better

Dubs have been slowly getting better over the years (or at least less bad), but I still avoid them like the plague. I've had enough bad experiences with them over the years (I've watched stuff that I absolutely hated dubbed, but then when someone forced me to watch it subbed to give it a second chance, it turned out to actually be good) that I don't even bother giving them a chance at this point. That goes for non-animated stuff, too, regardless of what language it's in.

I can read subtitles just fine without any effort, so I prefer the original voices, if that's an option. Yeah, sometimes the original voices suck, too, but that's what the people who made it created and what I'd like to see/hear. Also, depending on who did the official subs, I often prefer fansubs from one of the good groups (there are many, many bad ones, unfortunately), because they Americanize stuff less and put in cultural notes explaining things, so you get a bit more exposure to something you wouldn't otherwise be familiar with. A rare exception is Puni Puni Poemy, which I rather liked what they did with the Americanization in the official dub and could appreciate what they were going for with their translation, even if the dubbed voices bugged the crap out of me.

i used to be a total sub whore about anime, i'd throw a fit any time someone even mentioned watching the dub. but i'm over it now. For me it mostly just depends on the quality of the dub. Cowboy Bebop, Lucky Star and Evanglion all have fantastic english dubs for example.

Subby subby!

I accidentally downloaded the dubbed Code Geass, or couldn't get the subs to work, or something. Anyway it was a bit too cringe for my liking. Its the same with FF, if you watch the new 'international trailer'. Japanese voices I can just about stand it, americans just pill on the cheese. Stop it! Its not just for kids!

I'm just wondering what people prefer when it comes to watching anime. I prefer subbed, because for whatever reason the dubbed voices have really started to get to me and especially with Charles vi Britannia's voice in the original Japanese
Subbed in 90% of cases, if I'm bored and just wanting to only half watch something (which means I'm probably playing games while I do it, I'll go for dubbed)

I like dubbed but I watched subbed Soul Eater and got used to it. And now that they are starting to dub it I'm going to re-watch it.

Dubbing is the worst invention of the century. In any series. I live in Belgium so practically everything is subbed, I'm used to it. The original voices are part of the thing you're watching.

oh, mein gott, Subbed.
Some animes should never be watched dubbed.

Such as Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
Some animes can be quite good dubbed, but some are just not worth watching dubbed.
So, again, I say Subbed.

Subbed all the way, I think the only dubbed version I have watched is the Dragonball series and that was because Goku's voice character in Japanese was really annoying.

Dubbed, if I wanted to read I'd get a book, or maybe it's just because I've never watched an anime with a bad dub.
