To the Fanboys:
I want to make this post for core gamers but first I have to explain something to the fanboys before they fly off the handle at me. The Wii is obviously already getting no respect from most core gamers so think about what I am about to say from our perspective, if you do even though you will completely disagree with me and probably try to argue this with me you will realize that this advice I am giving will lead to more respect from core gamers towards the Wii.
To core gamers:
I am a core gamer, I do not own a Wii but own just about everything else and must admit that until I came to a conclusion lead to many angry words with Wii fanboys and non-gamer friends alike. If you adopt this perspective on the Wii you will never criticism it again. What I realized is this, the Wii should not (from the perspective of a core gamer) be viewed as a video game platform. You know how some cell phones and old ipods had a few games you could play around on them with? Well the Wii is an exercise machine that happens to have a few games on it. Here are the top selling games on the wii to prove my point:
#1 Wii Sports (60.69 million)
#2 Wii Play (26.71 million)
#3 Wii Fit (22.56 million)
#4 Mario Kart Wii (21.22 million)
#5 Wii Sports Resort (13.58 million approximately)
You see if you see the Wii like this you will realize that it is not "offensive" to core gamers as much as it is to fans of the bow flex. I should admit though that as far as exercise machines go the Wii is the best. So although nintendo fans will hate me for saying this, this way of thinking has turned me (and possibly anyone else who reads this and is disapointed in the wii) into a fan of it.
