I have long hair, no hair cuts since I left the navy in 07, and ya know. It's me, people don't like it they can screw off. I keep it clean, neat, and know what...

I prefer not to use reasons left over from the great depression to be a drone with short hair. cause people want to be different but only if you look like everyone else.

No, they aren't cool, but they are however, very functional. I wear my hair in a ponytail only for practicality sake and say "fuck what everyone else thinks." Then again my hair makes me look like a woman from the back unless it's in a ponytail because then you can see my awesome side burns and beard.

one of my best guy friends decided that he wanted to help out so he grew his hair out so he could donate it which I am all for. but for the longest time, it was horrible. He also made me a bit sad that his hair was longer and nicer than mine and all he did was wash it.
but once he cut the section and got his hair cut short DAMN IS HE A SEXY *****!!!
I usually prefer dudes without a ponytail but hey to each their own.

I used to have shoulder length hair, and it was 50-50 too. After I got a job, the "hygiene guidelines" said that I had to get my hair cut. All of my friends who were girls said it looked so much better, and my guy friends could care less, cause we're guys.
After all of that...I really missed my long hair. I don't give a shit if you like my hair or not, I want me to like my hair! So moral of the story, fuck everyone else, if you think your hair has a "fight the system" kind of attitude, then you go fight that system, and you kick it's ass with the god given hair that you love!

When I was young I use to always do it...I hated my hair and having it out I felt naked

I was finally able to wear my hair out and feel comfortable when I first went to uni where no one knew me so no one would comment on it

oh and hair straghteners, they are my saving grace

I wear it out all the time now except its getting annoying long

as for pny tails on guys I think it depends on the induvidual

They are... about 1% of the time, otherwise you have the chance of looking like a freelance w*nker - good luck to you. Also, short back and sides doesn't require a seperate towel, or a hair dryer, or serious concern when it comes to hair products (unless you're 13 and spike your hair with gel).
