This depends, rarely are video game remakes done, and even rarer are they good.

Movies on the other hand can be remade to death

I honestly don't mind remakes if it makes the game a lot better, but if companies are just milking the game, then no, that's just dumb. Good example, Persona 3 Portable.

Remakes can be good if they remake the game as it was, then add new graphics and some extra features that take advantage of the new system capabilities.

Chances are if I like a game, I don't want it touched for fear of my childhood being bent over an- Ok, you get the idea.

I'd say it depends on how old the game is and if a remake is really needed. It could be that the story and characters were great but the gameplay, graphics etc. were pants.

I'd say remake pre-millenial games.
