Watched a few episodes.

I think the secret of it's succes is that it's not a glorified 20 minute commercial like everyone is expecting it to be. It's genuinly funny at times and whoever is drawing them sure knows how to do cute. And honestly who doesn't like cuteness? Even if we're not all as "vocal" about it as 10 year old girls (as in "SQUEEEEEEEE") nobody hates cute animals.

Basically this. The show is way, way better than what it might have turned out to be--a clone of the 80s show which was just a half-hour toy commercial, as so many 80s cartoon series were.

But still, from what I've heard grown men have every right to at least find it entertaining. My friend's a huge MLP fan and she tells me there's all sorts of references in there to things like the A-Team and like Indiana Jones.
