I laughed at the thought of watching some called My Little Pony. Then I watched the first episode. Then the second. By the time I regained consciousness, I had finished the season.

Yes! Young Pinkie Pie is the perfect bait. Hook line and sinker.

And I know that it has been said before, but I highly reccomend that you start at episode 3. The pilot isn't exactly the crowning jewel of the series so far.

No, no I am not a Brony. Of all the many internet fads over the past couple years, I think this whole My Little Pony thing is one of the most impenetrable and perplexing. There's so many things out there which one could watch, so why this show? Maybe it's that I just don't like horses... maybe it's that I'm just too old for it, I don't know... but whatever it is, I'm ready or this particular fad to end.
It isn't really a fad. The show is actually quite good. The creator is married to the creator of the Powerpuff Girls. She also contributed to later episodes of the series. It shows in MLP.
OP: Yes, I am. In fact, I might actually buy a toy or two. That is Hasbro's goal, after all.

I have two points to make in regard to this.

1. The reason I watch this show is because it's one of the two shows I've found currently airing on television that make me smile (the other is Castle, if that matters).

2. I get where you're coming from with getting fed up with the brony presence. On that note:

Dear fellow bronies, some of you may recognize me. I'm in your user group, have posted a few times and am generally filled with nothing but love for all bronydom. However, I think we need to start cutting down on the threads. I fear we may simply be antagonizing others at this point.

Yes, I feel the desire to spread the wonders of MLP: FiM as well, but I think just about everybody on Escapist has heard about it by now. We have a user group to discuss all things pony. I'm not asking you to censor yourself or to stop using adorable pony gifs, but the new frequent threads are overdoing it. Not all will be converted. Let's accept that and instead enjoy the fact so many have joined the user group.

Sincerely and with love,
SwimmingRock
While I understand where you're coming from and know it's a popular view it's mostly not us making the threads. We are happy in our usergroup and any threads we do make are well spaced out. We just see our names (For we are all herd) in the thread and appear to comment.

So basically I hope we aren't antagonizing people but if y'all don't want our opinion don't ask for it and we'll be happy enough in our sugar coated paradise of a user group.

edit-Dammit grammar I don't like you and you don't like me but that's no excuse to mess around with my post when I'm tired.

Hmmm... it would appear there may be a potential herd member...

eexxcellent... It just goes to show that through persistence, alienation and harassment you can change peoples minds. :D
Wait... this isn't 4chan or any similar website so I guess that picture doesn't work. :(

The Cutie Mark Crusaders remind me of the Powerpuff Girls so much. I think that is why they are there.

Nope. Watched one episode, don't see what the big deal is. I mean, it's OK, even for a kid's show, but it's not like Pixar-status or anything.

And this is coming from someone who watched the Avatar cartoon for the first time at the age of 18 and enjoyed it.

As for ponies...I honestly don't understand it. Even for the internet, this one is pretty....strange.

And now...ACTIVATE THE MAKE-SOMEONE-QUOTE-ME-WITH-A-PICTURE-OF-A-PONY-WITH-A-MESSAGE-CONVEYING-THAT-PONIES-HURT-FEELINGS-AT-MY-REMARKS......DEVICE!

Also known as the MSQMWPPWMCTPHFAMR.....Device.

Which in turn is also known as the Moss Quemp Wemec Temhafamer Device. If you pronounce it phonetically.

The point is that someone will quote me with an image like this one:

There, I did it for you. Now you don't have to.
Here's a better one:

I have watched it, and I think MLP: FiM is a very good children's show. The writing is above-average, the voice acting and animation are very good, and it's quite clever for a program that has its root in the "television program as toy advertisement" style of animated shows. Enjoyable by adults? Certainly, if you put yourself in the right mindset and don't mind getting over a case of brain diabetes.

Do I enjoy the show? I'm not in love with it, but I like it enough to pass the time with.

That said, I think it's silly to form a group identity around such a thing, even by Internet standards. I won't knock people who do too badly, but it's certainly not something I'm interested in.

I'd also advise people who dislike the show to not be too hard on its fans. I'm certain there is a subsection of that fandom (as there are with all fandoms) who enjoy writing inappropriate fanfictions and creating/indulging in deviant fanart (not necessarily on deviantART, but I'm sure you can find some there). They are most likely in the minority. Please keep this in mind.

I watched one episode and found it well made and amusing. All the moral lessons and typical "kids show" cliches made it feel a bit forced at times but i can definitely see why you people like it.

Not really my thing, but i see the value = It's okay.
