Pardon, the rich jew producer is the "evil host" of the show your avatar came from.Durgiun said:What are you talking about?Istvan said:I thought the rich jew producer paid for equipping the place?Durgiun said:Oh hell yes. I ain't buying anything. Not ME3 or TOR or anything like that. EA can kiss my ass. Plus, my friends will most likely get those games, so I can easily play them at their place.
Does this stop the software from scaning what hardware and software is on your computer and then sending it to EA without your permission? If not then it is useless.Spoon E11 said:https://www.gamersoptout.com/optout
well there you go. Opt out of origin's EULA.
I second this attitude. I'm sure it's not long before we have reports of demon barbers coming from Origin installs slicing off peoples heads and using their corpses to make suspicious pies, but until then I will enjoy BF3 and all it's tanky goodness.Furycrab said:It works fine. Nothing anyone has posted about Origins customer service/practices has even come close to justifying a boycott considering the odds of any of it actually happening to me.
I'm going to play it "Wild" and wait till I actually get burned before I decide on going for a boycott.
Weren't there those guys that got banned from Origin due to moderators not liking their forum posts?pirateninj4 said:I second this attitude. I know, and that's the hilarious and sad part. People are fixated on single games and software, so they flame. BF3 or COD - why not both? Steam or Origin - again, why not both? The list goes on. The "THEY'S STEALIN MA PURRSONAL INFO" argument doesn't work because by using a single program out there you're already being mined for info on one level or another.Satsuki666 said:I do not use it because I do not play PC games. I buy EA games on consoles just like every other game I buy and see this whole boycotting thing as idiotic and blown way out of proportion. The only reason it is this big is because its EA and valve fanboys love to hate EA.
Better be careful about what you say the people around here will lynch you if you even think about badmouthing steam.Karathos said:And for the record yes, Steam does the very same thing as Origin. Their EULA just words it differently but the result is the same - believe it or not. Christ, it's like a witch hunt... And half of the angry mob are already being screwed by others and don't even realise it.
Uhh yeah, should read the escapist rules, piracy is a no go here...Jimmybobjr said:Just gunna pirate Mass Effect 3, stupid origin. I pirated Settlers 7 coz of Ubi DRM so i dont see why i cant pirate ME3
This. "Boycott" is a pretty strong word for what's more accurately described as "busy enough with other games that I don't feel like dealing with EA's crapware."RT said:I'm not boycotting Origin, I just don't use it.
