No, but it's still wrong.

Not morally; biologically. It's incorrect. I don't have a problem with it, it's just not cricket.

If I meet somebody new and learn they are gay, I feel surprised at first and I'm unsure what to do, but then I realize they're just another person and it doesn't matter and I get on with it.

I don't hate gays, in fact I'm bisexual myself and I'm into transgenders. (Go, judge!)

BUT.

I hate the "fabulous!" gays who prance around like faeries and do nothing but draw attention to themselves. I'm all for equality but seriously guys, you complain when you're treated different but maybe it's because you are a little different. Just a little.

I do, however, hate homophobics and bigots. Bunch of uneducated twats. Especially when it's due to a religious bent, I'M PRETTY CERTAIN GOD DOESN'T CARE WHO YOU ROOT, YOU BASTARDS, you don't have to treat gays and trans like rats, that's how the fucking holocaust was started.

Sex isn't just for reproduction, it can be fun, too! (sorry)

The word "homophobe" makes no sense at all.
None.

It's not like people have an irrational fear of gay people. It's not like they'll have an anxiety attack and throw up if they see two guys kissing.

While I believe that, as a famous family guy quote says, that anyone has the right to be miserable for the rest of their lives. But I might I am a little creeped out by watching two men make out. Yet, lesbians are awesome. Why is that, I wonder?

My policy on this is the same as my policy on everything. If you like it then that's great, just as long as you don't try pushing it on me.

I find it ridiculous that people have a problem with gays. It isn't like they formed a giant biker gang association and go off at night and binge drink and have sex in other peoples homes.

I don't care if I see two men around showing affection, but I get slightly more excited when I see two lesbians making out (only because I am a hetero male).

Don't Ask Don't Tell is also a stupid debate topic. The whole controversy doesn't make any sense at all. No logic to be found.

If you have useful skills the military needs, by all means you should be able to join.

If any of you guys can point the logic behind it out to me, then you are a genius.
It's very simple. The military (particularly ground forces) is compromised of aggressive hyper masculine juvenile homophobic males (mostly). The don't ask don't ell policy is to prevent homosexuals from being alienated from there respective units when teamwork is essential. It's not that the military doesn't like gays (that could be possible however) as much as it's about stopping fight before they start.
Or soldiers could get over their problems with gays. However, that would be in a perfect world. So you win.

Fuck no, I've got no problem with them as long as they don't use it as their defining characteristic. Then I just find them rather boring.

Somewhat. If gay dude tried to pick up on me, I'd be weirded out but all in all, their only difference from me is their sexual preference - which is a very small part of what makes a person. I don't treat gay people any different from anyone else.

I will say this however, and I don't let it jade me, but to be perfectly honest in my personal experience the lesbians I've met have been very unprofessional in the workplace (bosses dating underlings who end up having to be transferred, giving other ones more hours, lots of drama, etc.) whereas the guy dudes I worked with have been very professional (one guy in particular, I never knew he was gay and after a few months of working with him I found out the person he'd been calling 'hun' on the phone was a dude).

I go to an art school with a big fashion design department. As long as they understand that I don't swing that way its all good.

personally I think that would be a bit hypocritical of me, being pansexual and all.... I've also been trying to get a gay friend of mine out of the closet for almost a year now... I blame his parents, they actually kicked him out of the house for it T.T

Edit: also two cute guys making out is HOT :D
just out of curiosity what is pansexual?
essentially this: Pansexuality (also referred to as pans), or omnisexuality is a sexual orientation, characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire towards people, regardless of their gender identity or biological sex...

I have to admit I am a little homophobic, I think they deserve equal rights in marriage, adoption and employment as any straight person does, but I just don't like being around them.

I was in the Gay-straight alliance in high school, I wear black on the day Mathew Shepard died. but I really dont like being around gay people for extended periods of time. I learned this being in the GSA and theater in High School.

I think most of my dislike of being around them is that most of the gay men I have met in my life are touchy-feely and I have personal space/boundary issues. I don't hate them or anything but I do avoid them if given the option

I'm not homophobic, i have 2 gay friends and a gay sister.

but i know a few people who are, its stupid because they hate man on man stuff but they all approve on lesbian sex, which is why i brought up this subject

i wanna know REAL reason why people might be homophobic or not, cause all my friends are stupid.
I've got nothing against people that are gay (unless their acting stupid) as a person, but I don't aprove of sex between 2 guys or 2 girls. Reason for me is that it's not meant to be done that way, basic scientific fact is that to reproduce you need a male and female, so to do it any other way means theres something not right upstairs, I see it as a possible mental illness. Doesn't mean I think less of them as a person and if you don't agree with my view then fair enough but no-one can say its natural when our bodies are made one way and their doing it the opposite. It's just not meant to be.

I fully agree, what if anything is scary about gay people? I don't think homophobia really exists, its more of an insulting thing people say about people that dislike homosexuality.
Precisely, their insecure about their sexual orientation and they insult those that don't agree with them.

I'm not in the least bit homophobic.
Almost all my friends are gay, and I, though straight, am flattered more than bothered when men hit on me.
Seriously... they're pickier.

Also, "homophobia" is slang. The more accepted term among sociologists right now is "heterosexism."
Not sure how much sense it makes, but it makes you sound more informed.

I don't think I'm homophobic. I used to watch Ugly Betty and it really helped open my mind on the matter, and now Modern Family, too. Plus, there's factors that would make it be slightly hypocritical if I were.

But I've never actually met and talked to a person I knew was gay. It's not like I avoid them, but it's also not like I seek them out. I can say it doesn't bug me, but how would I know? I've never been around gay people. Besides, my friends are all pretty homophobic and I'm in a Computer Sciences program which should speak for itself; 90% of the people taking CS are guys. 90% of those guys that aren't ultra-study-nerds are 1337 h4x0rz that hate gay fagz that suck ballz.

I think a little

If I see a friend make out with a girl then I don't mind him doing it really. If I see two guys making out then I feel a little uncomfortable

If I am honest...
