DLC seems to be a touchy subject these days, some hate it some like it, some don't care. Some DLC out there is actually really good and can improve on the game a lot and add hours of gameplay. I'm wondering what DLC people here like the most(not counting same day DLC, crap like an extra skin or mission.

My vote goes with GTA IV, Both DLC are great, and were way longer than I thought they'd be, and they intertwine with the main GTA storyline quite nicely.

If DLC is done well (fallout 3), then I love it, however if it's done badly (too many games to name) then it can really piss me off. For example Saint's Row 2, where the DLC is overpriced, and prevents you from playing multiplayer with someone who doesn't have the exact same DLC as you. Luckily SR2 is such a bloody awesome game that it doesn't really bother me too much.

I'm going with the Dragon Age DLC and the best of the 4 available would have to be Stone Prisoner because it gives the ability to use Shale in your party later on in the game. Talk about your standard "Tank" character. Another good one would have to be Return to Ostagar.

Fallout had DLC that, even if the actual add-on was crap (O:A and ZETA)

all the cool shit you got made up for it

totally worth the arm and a leg in microsoft points to get all of them

The only good one was that Red Alert 3 thing they released.
Whatever the hell it was called.

edit:
UPRISING! Red Alert 3 uprising.

I like the TF2 DLC because it's free and it gets constantly updated. I also really liked the Gears of War 2 pack that was $20 and it gave you all the multiplayer maps and a deleted scene.

I'd have to say Shivering Isles on Elder Scrolls 4 was a great value and added a good 30+ hours of gameplay. It seems nowadays a large amount of games get DLC that seems a little lacking and not worth the money. I full expansions such as Shivering Isles or Awakenings (DAO) seems to be worth the price of admission while some of the other DLCs are just a short segment of gameplay.
Well, shivering isles was an expansion on the PC, but the best way to "expand" on the consoles is to download it I guess, that way they don't need to package an installable disk.

IMO, this is why PC gamers are much, much more picky about the DLC stuff as console players (not that I'm trying to accuse you of anything!! I don't know you!). However, on the PC we've had expansions for a long, long, long time and they often give us 10-30 hours of story and if the game has multiplayer, significant multiplayer features. The general price for an expansion was $30.

So in my mind, if your combined DLC does not give me around 15 hours of new content and is priced at $30 it's not worth it.

For instance, in street fighter 4 you can basically buy a lot of bullshit. Costumes and other crap; it's pointless and a waste of money.

Fallout 3 was good
but I did like the TFU "wat if U were EVILZ!!!111omgz" levels. Nice little things that were fun to see the 'what if' timeline

Most DLC is just a new item or map, but Fallout 3 DLC adds a couple more hours of gameplay along with new weapons and(sometimes) a new map to revisit. Bethesda does it right.

Fallout 3 had really good DLC for the price. It was especially worth it if you got the GOTY edition of the game. You got the game + $50 of DLC all in one. That is DLC done right.

Episodes from liberty city has taken me 6 days so far and I'm only about half way through ballad of gay tony. They're basically like games themselves.

Oblivion. Sheogorath trumps all others.

I know Fallout 3's DLC is loved because it lets you continue after you finish the main story, but that's something that should have never been an issue to begin with. No character in Fallout 3 has an iota of the charisma Sheogorath does.

Oblivion had fantastic DLC (assuming you didn't get suckered into the horse armor). Shivering Isles was one of the best expansions in the history of ever, I really wish Bethesda would release a similar expansion for Fallout 3.

I like a lot of DLC. Oblivion is great. MW and MW2 are good.
But I hate DLC that is made by Bungie.
[small]One day, Bungie. One day I will find you.[/small] Grrr.
