Poll: Best stealth game

LoL @ anyone who said MGS. The only game i haven't really played yet was batman, and some of the games in the Tenchu series are head and shoulders CLEARLY above the rest.

Penumbra. The dogs in the first episode are pretty easy to avoid considering it is easier for them to find you than, say, a person, but it's a horror game as well. The mutts are all torn apart, so I doubt their sense of smell is doing well. The rest of it is handled very realistically. Also, it is fucking scary.

Escape From Butcher Bay is the runner up.

I hate Tenchu with the heat of a thousand suns. It's broken stealth - in that the stealth parts are really cool and well done, but then they constantly change gears and FORCE you to fight enemies in straight-up combat, which your character SUCKS at.
