It IS a historical event, no-matter how out of proportion it is blown. (and believe me I do agree it is blown out of proportion)
But then you could refer to almost ANYTHING as a historical event, no matter how irrelevant. Where do you draw the line?
Exactly. I took a dump earlier, let's make a game out of it.

Also; I feel that celebrating anyone's death is just fundamentally sick and twisted. Seriously guys, what's wrong with you?

Saying it's tasteless to celebrate the death of a murderer is like saying it's tasteless to celebrate the disarming of a bomb. You know what's tasteless? Telling Americans it's tasteless to make light of the death of someone who killed thousands of their people. I could understand being mad if they made a game out of the death of Michael Jackson because, although he was a child molester, he has loved ones & fans who are actually good people & they would be upset. The only people who are upset when you kill terrorists are people who side with terrorists & when you side with terrorists you lose the right to be treated well.

You know what I find tasteless? That the people celebrating (a) Didn't do fuck all (b) They don't give a shit about the people who died or their families. I know families of people who died and they are offended by the way people are acting like this is some kind of victory and feel it's almost like spitting on the graves of their loved ones.

When we won World War 2, people celebrated because entire nations had put their hand into the efforts and thus celebrating the hard work as a nation at the end of it all seemed appropriate. What the hell did anybody on this thread do to contribute to the death of this thug? Sweet FA. Frankly, I think these people have made a mockery of the people Bin Laden killed. I guess he gets the last laugh after all.

Frankly, I'd be ashamed to call myself American if I were to celebrate other people's efforts as though I'd actually contributed to them and if I were somebody involved in his death, I'd be royally pissed off as well.

I haven't known of anyone acting victorious about it other than douches on TV who use "we" as a term for everyone in America but I don't see how that's relevant to this topic because I don't remember anyone in this topic acting victorious & I don't think the creators of the game are acting victorious either. One thing I do have a problem with is the fact that the game creators are risking other people's lives by making the game.

Also, did you mean the victims of 9/11 when you said we don't care about the victims? If so, what's wrong with you? Obviously, we do. Otherwise, why would we be glad Osama's dead.

Anyone asking me to respect Bin Laden or telling me that celebrating his death is somehow wrong had better never let me find them, I might just mistake them for a terrorist sympathizer (I'll let you infer the rest).

As for a game in which I can personally kill Bin Laden, that would be absolutely amazing. Preferably with some Postal 2 options where I can do things like urinate on his corpse, feed him his own testicles, get in a deLorian and drag him back to the tops of the towers on 9/11, etc. I would pay for that game.

Case in point. You know what I find fundamentally sick and twisted? People who tell me that celebrating the death of someone like Bin Laden is fundamentally sick and twisted. Or was that whole 9/11 thing a joke in your little corner of fantasy land?

You know who else died? hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians (some estimates put it at over a million.). Compare that to 3000 Americans in sep 11. Who invaded who's country? Who made a sham of the already enforced democratic elections?

I'm going to be real honest here mate, I don't see who the bad guy here is supposed to be.

Not to mention that the death of Bin Laden is detrimental to the American's cause anyhow. He was murdered in "combat" and is thus a martyr. Hell, they (almost said "you" there, but of course you yourself haven't done anything) didn't even kill anyone of import, Bin Laden has had little to no impact on Al Qaeda for years anyhow.
