Damn kids now a days,
people with this much rage scare me.

you also have to get he is a dumb 16 year old and probably will do completely fine if given another chance after a throw scare.
I don't understand what you are trying to say.

Do you mean that it's ok to make statements that cause fear because you are only 16 years of age?

Do you mean: "He doesn't know what he is saying, so it's ok" because he isn't of legal age?

Please explain your post since you decided to quote me, I am in a foul mood now, thanks to you. Please explain yourself.
well i'm sad you are in a bummed mood but i can explain.

instead of basically killing the kid socially or otherwise. put him threw the whole system and scare him then end it there so he can live out the possible 80 years he has left. and the world is strewn with "what if"s like what if the Russians bombed America?, what if Hitler won?

now heartlessly but honestly i say in the grand scheme of everything on this god's green earth will the lives of the lost really mean a thing if they lived or not. probably not because we are just a gelatinous mass on a rock hurdling towards a bright ball of fire we call a sun.
in other words don't take anything too seriously, don't let something that happens across the globe to some other poor sap get you down. and if you take this seriously you probably take everything too seriously.

I was on track for valedictorian till that whole 'expelled for assault' thing happened. Although, this was more a testament to my ability to not get caught, rather than being truly unexpected. I had friends congratulating for managing to avoid detection for as long as I did. Did manage to avoid any criminal/civil charges. Remember kids, always talk with a lawyer. A lot of them will give you a free consultation on minor matters, and if your lawyers does something stupid, that's grounds for appeal.

We had a couple of bomb threats when I was in high school. Although everyone was just like, "meh." in each situtation including me. No one really cared. (or at least no student cared)

Once in eighth grade I had a teacher tell everyone in the class that I would become a serial killer. It was totally uncalled for and I wasn't even talking or doing anything except staring out the window. I just looked at him and without a hint of emotion said, "You're first."
yea i had teachers like that too. seen that happen to a few class mates. it is too uncalled for but what you gonna do about it.

Any Hoo, back on topic, The guy that lives across the street from me called in a bomb threat at the High school I went to, although it was before I went there. I must admit it was rather cathartic seeing his drug fueled self hauled out by a swat team (this was a few weeks after 9/11, so I had no sympathy for him whatsoever). And in my Junior year of HS there was a bomb threat. It turned out to be a hoax but still it was scary. Although in hind sight the one guy in my town that can build tesla coils and small scale rail guns hadn't graduated middle school yet so there wasn't too much to be afraid of since most of the students were rich kids with the IQ of a jellyfish.

Ok, I see what you mean... you must be mocking me based on the reply you gave, that or you are above me for asking you a seemingly serious question. I didn't know this was a joke thread, I just wanted to hear some realistic thoughts.... I'm sorry for troubling you.

I don't think you have 'no regard for human existence outside of your own mind' so don't joke about having those ideas please.

If you honestly want to defend prank bomb threats, just say so.... you don't need to mock me to prove a point, just say what you really mean.
sorry did not mean to mock anyone
i do care about human life but i think it ends up being overblown by just about everyone.

i got to go to bed now. peace everyone!

why do you think there is so many bomb threats?
i think if the school wasn't so hard about students fighting and bullying there would be much less of the school wide threats.
Kids are idiots. They think it will make them look cool, or a teacher upset them by not giving them an A. Practically all of them are empty threats, like a person saying they will kill someone that insults their girlfriend.
I love it when one of my school chums threatens me. 'I'll fuggin KNOCK YOU OUT!' 'Oim gunna break yer aaarm. It'll feel good, for both of us.' 'I WILL kill you'. Blah blah blah. Whenever that happens, I just say 'No you won't. You know why? Cause your a pussy.' It's never failed to make them shut up.

Thanks for regards, although I feel I should tell you by the time I got my bachelor's degree, the sting had passed. Man, this forum always makes me feel old.

I know a lot of people who have done it, but I'm a very special case in that I worked in the Monitor Room of a world class casino.

After the 9/11 attacks with all the terror alerts security was being given "special training" for dealing with terrorism, nothing I consider super-special, but we got certificates from Homeland security and so on.

At any rate a whole bunch of morons from various departments all got this idea that they would go for attention/commendations/etc... by faking a bomb. What they would do is pretty much put something out that fit the "suspicious item" criteria to a tee, and then report it as a potential bomb. Security would of course then come in, clear patrons out of the area, secure the area, and basically be a nuisance until the State Police called in an EOD unit to check it out. Of course given how wired the place it was these guys were inevitably caught placing the object themselves and then coming back to it on camera footage leading to firings. This includes at least one security officer who of all people should have known better.

While "popular" for a while it died out given the results it met with, but still, as I've said, I've dealt with a number of these guys. Actually knew a few of them fairly well having worked in the same place with them.

I guess it's not exactly the same thing as calling in "hey there's a bomb" from a payphone, but similar.
wow cool story! so what casino did you work at?
This happened at Mohegan Sun where I worked for six years. I later did four years at Foxwoods as security, though I didn't do the same kind of job.

At the time Mohegan Sun was the 3rd largest Casino in the world (in general, not just counting Indian reservations).

What is it with America and bomb threats? Over here, where we don't hear about them and no-one takes any measures against them, we don't get any. I think there's a link there.

*Secretly hopes the OP lives in America, to avoid looking like a fool*

Back when I was in High School (at least 4-5 years now) Someone called in a bomb threat, police + fire brigade + ambulances came, evacuated school etc. He didn't get jail, but he got expelled, and no school would take him in there area, so his family moved.

Honestly, anyone who calls in something as serious as a bomb threat needs to be prepared to face the consequences. If that means jail time? So be it, you've made your choice. Fool.

I think the biggest issue of course is that not only are you causing untold panic and fear with people, but your also making the emergency services be occupied with something fake, when they could be helping people who are in dire need.
