Poll: Borderlands or Fallout 3?

If you prefer multiplayer you should purchase Bordelands, or if singleplayer is more attractive you're better off with Fallout 3.

All these make the game the best. Nothing like being lost in the Wasteland alone wondering how people got back to living 200 years before you.The reading on some consoles about life after The Great War really make it deep.

Borderlands PC multiplayer is a pile of shit, but Borderlands IS multiplayer.

On the PC get Fallout3.
On a console Borderlands.

Even though borderlands is the game I'm currenly playing and I like it, I have to point out that borderlands is just a giant grind-fest with practacally no story and the whole game is pretty much based on looting to find better guns. It's a 4 player FPSMMORPG. That's it.

Fallout 3 on the other hand is great and there's a great deal more to it - story for instance, plus there's the DLC. There's also heaps of non story side quest related stuff to discover.

If you only get one get Fallout 3, but later on get Borderlands. I don't understand why people compare them though, they're quite different.

Fallout 3 is better in every respect except it only has 16,999,999 weapons rather than 17,000,000.

Seriously though, FO3 is an absorbing, atmospheric adventure while Borderlands is a run 'n' gun grind-fest. Fallout 3 is richer and more immersive, but will only last weeks; Borderlands will last months but gets quickly repetitive.

I like fallout 3 more, because it has all the gore and VATS system, that really is the thing for me.

I got both and Borderlands is little and i mean really little more fun i like the vehicles but the steering is fucked up I'm at LvL 29 and I've started to like them actually but the regular WASD steering is way more better than steering with the mouse.

Well you can not get Fallout 3 with all 5 DLC packs for the price of a full game. Only 2 of the DLCs are really worth that much, but it's still a good deal, so Fallout 3.

When I traded borderlands and fallout 3 in for MW2, I had finished Borderlands. Whenever I tried to play F3, one of my other games was sitting there, and I just thought "why aren't I playing that? I'd much rather." It never held my attention for long enough. It's not a bad game, but it takes some getting into. I'd pick up borderlands, smash it, then trade it in for fallout 3 if you really want to give it a go. Pick up pre-owned fallout with a traded in copy of borderlands for about £3-5 if you're in the UK.

I'd suggest Fallout 3 for the price. £22 for game of the year edition that comes with all the expansions vs £40 for Borderlands. I'm sure Borderlands is a great game but Fallout 3 is still awesome and will keep you occupied until Borderlands is cheaper.
