Hey Escapists, I've been reading this place for a while now, mostly without posting and you guys seem pretty straight talking people. So I have a little question for you.

Today, a friend of mine got braces. He's 17 and is convinced that the next 18 months of his life are ruined and that he will never find a date and his life is over. I disagreed.

So, Escapists, answering as honestly as possible, would you date someone (guy or gal) with braces?

Honestly, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they had braces or not.

In some situations, I think it can be sorta hot (fetish much?), but it would depend though. I have used 'mobile' braces, or what tha hell to call them. Anyways, I could take them of if I wanted, but they were fucking huge and I looked seriously ridiculous. This is, however, from the perspective of a 19 year old male (virgin) who has never been in any relationship. As long as something has female reproductive organs, I would be satisfied.

I actually have kind of a 'braces fetish'. Actually I just find the way having braces in their mouths makes their lips look, not sure why and its hard to explain, I just find it oddly attractive.

I agree here, depending on the colour of the braces and just how well they compliment the person they can be like glasses, sometimes cute sometimes not.

I'm 20 and wearing braces. I also felt like that when I just got them on (actually, this is my second time wearing braces) but I have gotten used to it now. I don't think it's more noticeable on me than on a 14 year old, though. It may feel that way sometimes but it's just your mind.

And I hate you guys for only saying girls with braces are hot (or at least not mentioning guys)! Okay, I hate you only a little it. Or... I don't really care what people think of it. It's their problem if they don't like it.
