Thoroughly agree. Add bacon though and it's a great combination either way. Allergic to onions, but with the works otherwise. Dang it...now I'm craving a burger....at 3am....grrr.Dexiro said:Depends how good the meat is. At McDonalds i'd prefer a thin burger or else it'd be a bit icky.
At some posh restaurant though i'd want a big chunky burger full of tastiness!

So, what kind of patty do you like on a burger?
I like a thin sausage-ground beef patty.

Day-um. I'm hungry again now.YourlocalPCsnob said:Burgers are prepared according to how much meat they have.
3/8th's, one quarter, and a half pound are the most common.
As A Texan my burgers MUST be prepared with 73% lean meat, two half pound patties, two slices of cheese, 8 strips of bacon, and cooked to medium rare.

It is possible to have a rare burger that's pretty safe to eat, but it's a lot more work. You have to start with non-ground beef, sear the outside, grind it yourself, and then cook it right away. Either that or irradiate it (which is less practical but more fun, because that lets you get away with things like rare pork if you really want...).Imsety said:Wow, I'm the only person so far who hates burgers. Mostly due to the fact that I tend to eat beef lightly cooked, and that's something that's not recommended with hamburgers. Big red flag as to what they put in there...
