Theoreticaly, if Wolverines bones are fused with adamantium then a simple MRI machine could rip him apart. That is of course if you can get him in the damn thing.

Marvel did a glimpse into the future for a while and the only living x-man was gambit - so i guess yeah that does mean he can die.

Also I seem to remember magneto ripping the adamantium from his body at one point, so if he did that again and then set him on fire or sommet it is possible ^^
no even if magneto removed the adamantium from his body he wouldn't die, it is his cells that give him the ability to heal not the adamtium, plus it is stated that wolverine can die from old age, the older he gets the longer it takes for him to regenerate so eventually he just will not heal anymore.

There was a comic where he was killed by a sentinel. All that was left of him was his skeleton. I dont know the name of the comic though.
I think that was Days of Future Past. Not 100% sure though. And yeah, Wolverine has died a few times. A better question is, who's harder to kill: Deadpool or Wolverine?
Deadpool can't die... Ever. He has the same power of regeneration, but he's also immortal. So, yeah. Deadpool.

Plus, I'll say it even though I know I'm about to get fanboy raped, Deadpool is the more dynamic and interesting character. At least in his most recent story arc.
Actually, Deadpool is my favorite comic book character. I wasn't sure on his immortality, but he isn't immortal because of Death right? That's Thanos...

There's more than a few ways to kill Wolverine.

^ Starting with that. Wolverine can heal from almost any injury, given time... But if he were blasted by a huge Sentinel beam and flayed down to just a skeleton (like he was here), he wouldn't be able to recover.

He could also be killed by removing his head from his body, though with the adamantium spine keeping it firmly in place, that'd be pretty hard to do.

Magneto, having complete control over Wolverine, could fly him up into outer space, or hold him under water until he died of suffocation.

There are other, more obvious methods, like canceling out his healing factor, but nobody really takes those into account, 'cause they're boring. :p
The comic you are displaying is from "Days of Future Past", an alternate timeline created when the mutant villain Destiny assassinated Senator Kelly.

Decapitation.

Sorry, my friend. Deadpool can't be killed. Literally. Death cursed him with the power of immortality - in every way. He regenerates faster when he gets more damage - that's why Squirrel Girl defeated him, because she was scratching him - not much of a wound. But in a long battle with everyone slashing him, chopping and so on... Someone called him even "The Energizer Bunny".

Oh, and he has already lost a hand, head or other parts of the body. Unless someone throws him into a meat grinder, incinerate the ashes and throw them one by one, no closer than a milimeter next to each other... He can't be killed.

About the lack of oxygen - I think he would suffer the same pain as the Immortal Man from Heroes (how was that British samurai called? I forgot) - he couldn't die, but he was constantly suffocating to death. That's worse than death.
I never said it kills Deadpool, but it is probs the closes you can get to actually killing him

Magneto could simply crush him into an adamantium ball; and if he's still alive as said adamantium ball, drop him in a volcano or send him into the sun or outer space...

He can never die as long as he has the greatest power on his side... successful marketing. As long as his toys and games keep selling, he ain't going nowhere. Sure he may temporarily "die", but they'll bring him back through some hocus-pocus or bad writing :p
Toys, games and movies(crappy ones but still). Got a good point there, but does that mean that if he became an unlikeable character he'd have to fend on his own?

Anyone can be killed. Except Doctor Manhattan, but he's pretty much a god so that doesn't count. But yes, Wolverine can be killed. Not even his fast healing ability will save him from a sniper shot to the head...
actually he would survive it due to his indestructible skeleton

Magneto could kill him by ripping his metal skeleton out of his body.

Already done, and that just made him angry

It has also been stated that the adimantium skeleton actually slows down his regeneration, so ripping it out of him will accelerate it hugely

Could he survive a nuclear warhead to the face? Seems doubtful to me... I mean, nuclear explosions can evaporate a person on the spot, literally leaving nothing but their shadow behind. How could he possibly regenerate if EVERYTHING of him is obliterated in a matter of seconds?
He did survive a warhead in the face, he was in 1945 hiroshima when the bomb was dropped

I am also a geek, the comic where the sentinel kills him is Days of Future Past,

Personally, while his body can with stand anything his soul cannot, destroy the soul, and he will be nothing but a vegetable

To be honest i find the idea of a super hero is can't be killed stupid. Where is the fun if you know your hero is always save?
I get this, but I think part of the appeal of Wolverine is that he can take anything and kick enormous amonts of ass.

The question we're really asking here is, "could he die within the fiction of the Marvel comic world as presented?" Meh. How many times has each hero been killed and brought back and cloned and had dopplegangers and mirror universe versions and time-travel copies and offspring, and alternate continuities, etc etc. Even Dr. Manhattan isn't safe from the power of a determined and sufficiently idiotic writer.

Wolverine will never die so long as he's profitable.

The moment he's worth more dead than alive, he'll end up just like Captain America.

Yes, I am an awful cynic.

I'm guessing he could be drowned. Sink him into the Mariana Trench, and he's a goner.

In the real world he could be killed by alot of things that have been said like drowning nuclear explosion ect.
but while hes in comics and movies he can survive everything no matter how illogical like in a nuclear explosion he would have no cells to regenerate from but he does anyway

It gets him as closed to killing as pulling his arms behind his back and tying up.

I think it would do much than if someone decapitated him - I mean, he still sees his body when his head is cut off. I would just run in circles until I could finally see the headless zombie-body. Then I just pick up the head, put on the neck and wait 5 seconds till it reattaches itself.

He can be killed but he heals so quickly it's hard to kill him.

Also, why would Marvel kill him and lose a perfectly good, money making character?

X Men Orgins really did me a favor by exposing the flaw in Wolverine's character. He is totally bland and uninteresting besides when he is trying to kill something. Hugh Jackman barely made him somewhat interesting.
