As a person who lives with one, I'm curious: if you had to, what chronic disease would you choose to go through life with?

By color blindness do you mean seeing in black and white? Because I'm color deficient, which is different than color blindness.

I'd say that's close enough. I realize it's not entirely accurate, but it falls within the general idea of eye problems.

I'd probably go with what my cousin has. I can't remember the name, but it has something to do with her stomach, something connecting to it is 95% smaller than it should be, I don't know what it is that's smaller either (It's not her stomach though, something connected to it). Anyways, all it does is cause her occasional stomach aches.

Pffft, thats kiddie stuff, find some homeless people, kill them and then grind them up. Buy some veggie burgers and thaw them out. Mix the ground up homeless people with the veggie burgers. Have a cookout and invite some vegetarians, feed all the meat eaters normal hamburgers, and then say to the vegetarian right before he takes a bite: " I made it special for you...".

And when he goes into shock, you have another unresisting victim to throw into the future meals!

Diabetes is fairly controllable and I'd be able to do things pretty much same as I am now. Colour blindness would impair my gaming.

Well, I suppose if you want to really stretch the definition, then life could be considered a chronic condition on its own...

Calling life a chronic disease is somewhat faulty logic, as it can't be chronic if there's a cure. You can't just stop having AIDS, but you can sure as hell just stop living. Or, to put it another way: There's no medicine available to cure AIDS, but there's plenty of medicine that can cure life.

Edit: The latter doesn't necessarily have to be interpreted in a misanthropic/suicidal fashion.

That is true, but I didn't call it a chronic disease for exactly that reason. It is a chronic condition, which can just be a lasting condition, or one that develops slowly. I'm inclined to think that the nine-month gestation cycle counts as slow development.
Chronic: Of long duration; continuing.
