Is Aspergers syndrome a chronic disease? If it is, I don't have to "pick" one.
I don't think so. I think it's more of a mental condition. I've been diagnosed with it as well.

I voted AIDs. Do I have AIDs? No, but I wanted to pick something hardcore!
That works!
Really? I was worried I was over doing it a bit.
heh. If you've seen page 2 of this thread, you wouldn't worry about that.

Color blind, because I already am.
There are a couple of people who've said that...interesting.
Color blindness isn't that uncommon among men. Its usually only a few colors as well, and if you aren't tested for it you may never even know that you have it.
That would certainly make things interesting to find out that what I thought was blue was actually red or something.

Really it'd be more like you thought your pants were Grey but they are in fact a shade of green. Color blindness means that you cannot see that color at all. Due to the nature of your eye the the color becomes it's greyscale equivalent. Rods and cones blah blah blah, look it up on Wikipedia.

Its as much a chronic condition as color blindness is (in my eyes *buh dum tish*).

I agree that it is a chronic condition, but as I've noted in an earlier post, there is a difference between condition and disease. But I'm actually interested enough in the colorblindness stuff to go take a look now. Kudos.

This stuff here, it was edited for your convenience!
Okay then, but in that case color blindness isn't really a disease, its a genetic condition. You have bad DNA and then you're color blind. Of course I'm splitting hairs now.

Edit: I made a mistake. Your description of color blindness is more accurate due to the fact that most colors are made of multiple composite colors, but confusing red and blue is not possible, more like it looks yellow but it is green.

Hey, you never know. Hair splitting may be genetic, too! heh.
EDIT: nice editing!

I have long term Lyme disease and Idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Lyme is a highly political disease, some people say you can't have it if you've had multiple weeks of antibiotics, but I've had IV antibiotics for several months and I still have it. Lyme can have many symptoms and has many false negatives (the longer you've had it the less likely it'll show up). I don't want to sound like a crazy person, but some people I know have been diagnosed with things like MS or Fibromyalgia before being treated for Lyme (Not all or even most, but I'm bringing it up to say the often misdiagnoses of Lyme).

I also have Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) which basically means I have to much spinal fluid causing a lot of problems. I have a spinal shunt in my back that helps drain my spinal fluid to reduce my symptoms which has helped, but I have other problems that prevent me from having a normal life.
