Cooking at home, I usually use Ortega medium taco sauce (i know, not very authentic or exciting). When eating out I'll have whatever is available.kurokotetsu said:What Salsa or taco sauce? THere are several. habanero. Tabasco. Green. Red. Pico de Gallo. Ahogada. Chipotle. And all the versions of the above, which is different for each single stand in Mexico or what you are having.
I actually use BBQ sauce with almost every meat, honestly. Not a typical choice on burgers for me, though, but it isn't bad either.soren7550 said:Where's the love for BBQ sauce? Goes great on burgers and steaks, and works well with a bunch of sides.
Pineapple? Chopped onions? Coriander? Lime? Tomato? Habanero sauce? Red sauce? Green sauce? Tabasco sauce? Chile ancho? Chipotle? In any taco place you are served at least three different sauces, so no idea.FPLOON said:Tacos: What you would normally find in a taco... *wink*
I had to look up what that was. It doesn't sound very Mexican. Like at all. Hell the Green Sauce they have looks more autehntic and still has a lot of added stuff. If you like hot and Mexican food, try actual Mexican salsa (and have lime and salt near at hand).Spaceman Spiff said:Cooking at home, I usually use Ortega medium taco sauce (i know, not very authentic or exciting). You know, I would by lying if I said I knew the exact condiments that were always on/in my tacos... With that said, I have no idea which condiments are even on/in my tacos to begin with other than it's probably the equivalent to a "house special" 100% of the time...kurokotetsu said:Pineapple?
